Entire house, yard and parking in Pacific Beach - Always Super Clean.

There is construction activity on the neighbor's house beginning in July 2025. Guests should expect noise that may impact quiet enjoyment. One mile walk to the sand at Pacific Beach or the Bayside boardwalk, but on a residential street within walking distance to many shops, and eateries. Hornblend Beachhouse features a remodeled two bedroom house with a large well equipped kitchen, great yard, outdoor patio table, chairs, and Weber gas grill. This house has 2 bedrooms, one bath, and a sleeper sofa in the living room to accommodate a maximum five guests. We will consider a small sixth guest if they are suitable for the Graco Pack 'n Play Playard Change 'n Carry.
We are centrally located in Pacific Beach with groceries stores and wonderful restaurants within easy walking distance. There are bikes available to ride to the beach which is a mile away or to the bayside and enjoy the boardwalk ride. We recommend using the electric scooters only if wearing a helmet and following all safety requirements.
One exclusive parking spot is provided. New washer and dryer was added in August 2019 for guest to use. There is AC bedroom #1 and ceiling fans/lights in each bedroom and the living room.
Most all services are within a couple blocks (banking, grocer, pharmacy, baker, laundry mat, FedEx & UPS, banking).
Many yoga studios, martial arts, traditional gyms, cross training gyms are within walking distance.
Golf within a 5 minute drive and Torrey Pines PGA course is public and 10 miles away.
Sail boat and kayak rentals on Mission Bay are a 15 minute bike ride away.
The property is normally quiet and fairly private. There will be construction activity on the neighbors house.

Lovely single home Pacific Beach

We arrived late in the evening of our first night and the hosts were available to help us get sorted. It was great! And then once inside we found ourselves in a lovely environment. There were blankets in a basket in case anyone was cold. Windows all the way around which caught the ocean breeze no matter it's course. Wood floors, everything you could want in the kitchen cupboards, easy hookup to the internet, very clean throughout and a sweet outdoor space in the garden. The hosts were available but didn't intrude. Our stay was wonderful! Highly recommend.

Comfortable house, although bathroom is small. Walk-in shower is big plus, however. Well-equipped full kitchen. Neighbors played very loud party music on weekend, but not late hours.

We had a great experience at the Hornbill Beach house! The place exceeded my expectations.

The well stocked kitchen made family meals a breeze. Grocery stores a short walk from the house made it easy to plan meals on short notice. Nice spaces in and outdoors made it perfect for family get togethers. Beaches and restaurants also close by. Hosts were very accommodating. Loved our stay there.

Oasis in the Heart of Pacific Beach

From check-in to check-out the process was seamless. We enjoyed our secure oasis in the middle of this very lively beach community. Approximately one mile from the beach and one mile from the bay, we were central to everything the area has to offer from a variety of restaurants, shops and outdoor activities for our family including young children. The hosts were kind and helpful and responsive with any inquiries we had. We would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking to experience the vibrant Pacific Beach area and yet have a quality space to retreat from it all.

Clean, spacious and convenient

Chris and Derek live onsite and were friendly , helpful, and welcoming. Although there are not views at this property as it is a house behind another house, the place is spacious, well-lit and airy. Plus, the house is situated near their garden, with a table outside to enjoy the courtyard. The kitchen and bathroom are updated. There was everything you need. The beds are extra comfortable. It was especially nice in this neighborhood to have a designated parking spot. Also, a very nice bonus were the bikes and beach gear that was available to use. We’d stay here again and recommend it to others.

Pleasant bungalow in Pacific Beach

This bungalow is clean, updated, functional and comfortable. Beds are wonderful; kitchen and bathroom are new. The pleasant outdoor space is covered for when it rains. The owners are responsive to all concerns. Location is very convenient for shoppers.

All around great property!

Easy to rent, responsive owners live onsite. House is nicely appointed just as described with quality towels, sheets, kitchenware, beds are wonderful, and plenty of room. Residential neighborhood is more private and quiet, parking is easy and it's very nice to have a space in the property driveway. Location is convenient for walking or biking, and easy in and out by car. Has been a great weekend, highly recommend; if possible I would live here year round!

Updated guest house in backyard of owner's home. Easy access to beach and bay as well as restaurants and stores. The bikes and ping pong table were nice additions. Thank goodness for the window A/C in the master bedroom as SD was experiencing above average temps during our stay.

Our family had a great week at this house! This quiet, clean, well thought out house was perfect for our family of four. The ping pong, the bikes, the grill, and the outdoor dining area were all nice touches that we enjoyed using. Being able to walk to grocery stores, restaurants, coffee shops and the beach was so nice. Derek and Chris are great hosts. We highly recommend staying here!

Great, private-feeling home near the beach and Mission Bay bike path

We had a wonderful time at this home. The place was well-furnished and included all the necessities. The home was clean and comfortable. We particularly enjoyed the outdoor seating/dining area and being able to use the well-maintained bicycles to bike to the beach and Mission Bay bike path (each a mile away). Thank you again!

Beautiful House, Great Location, Awesome Owners!

My family of 5 stayed at this wonderful house, and had a great vacation! The house has a parking space, which is a relief when staying at the beach as street parking can be a nightmare! The house also came with 4 bikes, and we rented a small bike for $10 for my daughter around the corner (literally a 2 minute walk) and we were all able to ride around. It is about 10 blocks from the beach but we were able to ride there no problem! There are several great restaurants within a 5 minute walk away. The owners were so nice and very accommodating. They provided beach chairs, beach towels and boogie boards which the kids wore themselves out on! I also want to mention that the beds and pillows were very comfortable!! So often that's not the case- but these were wonderful. There is also a large yard with the option of outdoor dining. Highly recommend 😎
