HOTEL IDÉALEMENT PLACÉ
Hotel très sympa super bien situé, à 2 pas du centre ville et une quinzaine de minutes de la plage du pier. Chambre très spacieuse, lit king size plutôt confortable.Frigo et micro ondes.Très bonne réception du wifi. Petit déjeuner correct , oeufs( trop cuits ), saucisses pour le salé , pancakes, english muffins, yaourts et fruits pour le sucré. Café et thé dans le hall tout au long de la journée. Nombreuses places de parking offertes par l'hotel. Je recommande vivement cet hotel et y retournerai lors de mes prochains séjours à San Clemente.

Parking was nice and convenient. Our room smelled of smoke, but staff settled us in a new room which was adequate. The staff at the front desk was not easily approachable and we typically waited for service at the front desk.

Dog friendly. Nice front desk staff. Very safe. You need to use your room key to get the elevator to move. Remember that tip…, 😀 tStayed twice within a week. Nice rooms with Robes and a fridge. I would just suggest a few bottle water in the fridge. You are very close to Del Mar, the center of town. Lots of dining and shopping choices.

Location was great but the night auditor on our first night was absolutely unprofessional and creepy. It was this old lady who was harassing me and my guests. She was going up to my guests and basically following them around. She was standing outside my door listening to what we were doing which was nothing. I have never been more offended and uncomfortable by someone’s behavior. The only reason I didn’t give a 1 star is because Nick D at the front and the person who checked me out are always amazing.

It was a very nice stay, we loved how big our room was and how close we were to all the shopping and restaurants so we could just walk all over for anything we needed. The only complaint that we had was that the pool and hot tub were a bit of a walk from the room.

Overall this is a beautiful place. The AC was not great and every time it came on it sounded like someone was trying to break in. Sound also carries so when a family with kids showed up at ten above us, it was loud. And when they woke up at six, it was loud. But great value for the price otherwise.

All vending machines were not stocked, staff was friendly for the most part, rooms were pretty clean. Check in was easy, parking is first come first serve. Which makes it difficult sometimes to park

The Volare was easy to find, right off the freeway.Although we were close to the freeway, the room we stayed in was fairly soundproof. 2nd floor and 3rd floor had room with views of the Pacific ocean

Pros: great location to walk to and from hotel to shops, food, and entertainment. Lots to do near hotel. It is child and pet friendly. Budget friendly. It was also clean and the room was ready about an hour before the 4pm check in time. Free parking. Coms: walls are too thin. We could hear our next door guests flushing the toilet and playing music while showering. Parking is limited and first come first serve. Also, parking spaces are tight, so SUVs and trucks beware. They have only one elevator. You have to remove the bathroom sink’s drain pop up or the sink won’t drain due to “poor design” from what the front desk worker told us. It was not something they fixed. The toilet handle broke off too, so toilet wasn’t flushing. Not something they fixed by the time we checked out. Lastly, we called the front desk a few times as things occurred and we were never able to reach them, so we had to show up in person to report the toilet handle issue or the sink not draining issue. When we showed up to talk to the front desk worker, he was sitting on the side just on his phone.

Great view from our room. Close to downtown lots of fun things to do. Beach is 15 min walk. However view is great! The only downside was lack of flexibility with checking in prior to 3 pm. We arrived at noon and provided our phone number never got a call.

We had a good time and most everything was a good experience. We had paid for the Suite with the hot tub and Oceanview, however, it should be listed as partial Oceanview. Those rooms in particular are right next to the freeway so on the balcony you get freeway/partial ocean view. That made it extra noisy and less enjoyable on the balcony.

Staff was professional and courteous. Housekeeping staff was helpful and polite. Reservation was for 12.24.2023 - 12.30.2023. No breakfast onsite. No gym onsite, but a 15 minute stroll allows for use of the neighborhood gym. We started in room227, but was moved to room 222 due to the refrigerator in 222 not function properly. Lots of shopping nearby and beach access was a 15 minute walk.
