Hello everyone, We are excited to present our spacious, comfortable home for your consideration for your visit to the amazing city of San Antonio.

We offer discounts for weekly and monthly stays. We also do corporate travel and long term rentals. Please contact owner for more details and discounts.

There is a video from 2012 and 2017. Some things have changed with improvements and updates. Please see pictures for those updates.

We are located near the IH10/410 Interchange, which is very convenient to major areas of town. The RIM shopping center, La Cantera Mall, Fiesta Texas, San Antonio Int’l Airport, Downtown, South TX Medical Center, The San Antonio Zoo, Sea World, several movie theaters and lots of shopping. We are 15.3 miles from Lackland AFB, Easy access to surrounding cities such as Boerne, Canyon Lake, Fredericksburg, New Braunfels and San Marcos. Even Austin Texas!

Our home sits on a one acre wooded lot, about half of which is fenced in. There are many deer, which roam freely about. Corn is provided and you are welcomed to throw some around and see how many you can attract into the backyard. They love the corn but can be shy on occasion. Our home is in an older home in a quiet, tree-lined neighborhood where strolls are really enjoyable. Our home may not have the new home or latest design features, but it is a charming, comfortable and roomy home that we hope you will enjoy and feel relaxed in.

Our home has a beautiful, extra-large sunroom where you can take a snooze indoors under the giant shade trees. Or spend the night under the stars.

Our home offers lots of cozy spots to curl up with a good book, play games, surf the web, watch a movie or listen to music. Two outdoor decks and a patio offer great outdoor spots for relaxing or enjoying the outdoors. Feel like grillin’ out? There’s a gas pit ready to be fired up. There are two large playsets in the yard ready for the kids to enjoy.

Four of the TV’s have cable channels for your enjoyment. Wireless internet throughout the house. The 5th tv is in the kid's room and has a dvd player. Some family type dvd's are provided.

We have provided coffee and tea for getting started on your day.

Friends, San Antonio really is an amazing city, but we want you to have a nice place to relax after or before you’ve seen the sights. We are hoping you will let our home be the place.

Five tv's in all.

Large, keyed closet is provided for you to use for personal storage.

All pillows and mattresses are protected with vinyl enclosures for extra cleanliness.

Deer were the highlight

Because of COVID-19 we were unable to to use our listing but our daughter and her husband and 3 children drove from Austin to stay in the property. They spent most of their time in the home with the deer being the centerpoint of their stay. She said that the property was a little dated but clean and the deer and the outdoor playground equiptment kept the children (7, 5, and less than one year) entertained. Not exactly the spring break together with my grandchildren in San Antonio that we had planned.

Wonderful!

We loved the backyard!!! We spent 4 hours watching the deer, playing in the yard and grilling. The beds were comfortable. The neighborhood is beautiful and quiet. Everything about our stay here was wonderful!

Amazing daily views of deer!

Awesome backyard! Feels like you’re out in the middle of no where but conveniently located to everything. Home is a little dated but well stocked with plenty of room and seating inside and out. Cable TV in the living room, only Roku on the other TVs, fine for kids that can work Netflix. Owner checked in frequently to make sure we had what we needed as well as to remind us of what we needed to do.

Perfect for us.

We have a lot of girlfriends in the San Antonio area. This was a good central location for getting together with great conversational gathering spots to choose from.......Patio, TV room, dining table. Plenty of beds. We only had 7 sleep over Friday and 5 on Saturday, so we could have been with much fewer beds as it turned out. But three others were there for the Saturday get-together. There was a shortage of towels considering how many could have been there to bathe daily, and a couple of boxes of tissues would have been very handy in the bedrooms. Otherwise, we felt it was well-equipped and stocked for our visit. Sadly, we paid for more than could be there. At our age, reunions become dependent on family health issues all too often. The property was exactly as represented in the listing. TV system was a bit difficult and it was World Series time for this baseball nut, but we managed. Owner was very accommodating for our needs and available when we had a TV emergency! Thank you, Rosie.

A Million Stars!

I wish it was a week ago. On this day, last week, I stepped foot in Texas for the first time in my life. My friends from Del Rio and San Antonio invited me out to spend the weekend with them. I haven’t seen them in years. On my last vacation, the planner (won’t mention who lol) decided to put 16 family members in a small 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom house for a week. I was very, very unhappy. It was too crowded and I was miserable. So, on this trip I was determined to make sure everyone was comfortable. Even though the house can easily accommodate 12 people, it was perfect for just us four. After looking at the pictures and pretty much decided that it was the perfect house, I have to admit, it was the “w/DEER” in the title that sold me. I always miss my dogs when I’m on vacation. Also, I’m from Alaska and you can’t feed the wild animals that come into the neighborhood. Well in my case, it would be wild moose and bears! My friends arrived one by one. After greeting me, the next thing they all said was “Wow! This house”! From the furniture to the decorations, every little item, you can tell how much love Rosie put into the house. My favorite room was the kitchen. It has everything! There were these state of Texas molds where you could make Texas shaped burger patties, Texas shaped eggs, etc. We cut Jicama in Texas shapes and covered them with Tajin. Actually, I ended up making Wyoming, Kansas, and Colorado shapes, lol! We used every furniture setting. Early morning coffee in the breakfast nook, lunch in the sunroom (everyone’s favorite room), BBQ on the brick patio setting, drank a beer on the four chairs in the back overlooking the trees where the deer ran by, snacks and fast food on the picnic like table setting (room next to carport), our last big dinner on the 12 seater table in the dining room. With just the four of us, we made it fun. Two people on each end and two in the middle. It was like Game of Thrones style. If only we had robes and crowns!Our vacation ended with us making a birthday cake for all the birthdays we missed together and we sang happy birthday to ourselves! Spending time with my friends in Rosie’s home is more memorable than the River Walk and Six Flags Fiesta. We even canceled all of our plans on our last day just to spend it at home. Rosie is the sweetest person ever! If you stay here, please take care of it. It’s not just a house, it is a home. I hope you make loving memories as I did. Rosie! Sending you hugs from AK!

This property was perfect for our family vacation to San Antonio. Rosie was so pleasant and accommodating. The property is close to everything that San Antonio is famous for. The best part of the property is the back yard! Wild deer coming to feed in the yard just feet from you. My grandchildren loved feeding and learning about deer when we were not playing tourist. Can't say enough good things about Rosie. She followed up with us regularly to make sure the property met our expectations. You will not be disappointed with this rental. We will be going back again. We enjoyed our short stay at this property. It was large, had great views, and comfortable beds. We had plenty of room to spread out and relax. Although the home could use some updating, it was clean, spacious and met all of our needs. It’s located in a nice safe neighborhood.

Central location! Beautiful and relaxing!

We drove 18 hours for my sons BMT graduation. Rosie was there to greet us with a smile and open arms! There was 8 of us. 5 adults and 3 kids (17, 15 and 13). It was plenty big enough! Everybody could have their space or we all hung out in the beautiful sunroom played games and watched the beautiful deer! Ms. Rosie was always quick to respond to a text if I had a question. She is probably one of the nicest people you will ever meet! I was worried about it being to far from base but it was PERFECT and highly recommend it!

Thank you Rosie for sharing your home with us. We were in town for a family reunion and the location of your home was great! A lil resting get away from the craziness of the family and Fiesta. The home had everything we needed and Rosie kept in contact just enough to make sure we did not need anything at all. I will miss waking up to the Deer's in the backyard while I enjoyed my coffee in the sun room. My family enjoyed the stay as well. To see my granddaughters wake up and say are the deer's ready for breakfast was awesome. Great Easter weekend!

We enjoyed a wonderful stay here! It is so homey- with plenty of room to just spread out and relax. The neighborhood is tranquil, but convenient to stores & restaurants. The back patio & sunroom were delightful. It was nice to have the corn to feed the deer. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to make meals. Rosie was very welcoming when she gave us a walk through. We traveled from Arkansas and were there for four days for my sons graduation at the Lackland AirForce Base. Rosie had everything we needed in the home. We did not have any problems during our stay. We really enjoyed watching and feeding the deer! If we visit this area in the future I will definitely stay there again!
