Flats in Salt Spring Island

'This was a delightful condo that was right on point with what was advertised. My husband, daughter and her fiancé spent three wonderful nights here. We had a beautiful view of the ocean, a wonderful balcony with flowers, and plenty of privacy. The bedrooms and baths are nicely situated. We were just minutes from shops and cafes. Elena, our host, made contact with us early and made sure everything was in order. This property is so well kept and clean. It has all the necessary kitchen equipment...

'The condo is well laid out, very spacious within easy 2-3 block walk to waterfront and lots of dining options. The bedroom and bathrooms were clean, but some of the living room and kitchen area could use a bit more attention. Some finer attention to detail, such as more than 1 dish cloth, dish soap not watered down, paper towels, recycling containers, etc could make this home away from home 5 *****.'

We loved the views of the marina and gardens and made good use of the little deck. Miles was an excellent host and gave us all the information we needed in a timely manner. 'Vesuvius is a pretty spot with some charming older cottages. On our neighbourhood walk we found a lovely trail to the beach, some sheep, stands of granola, flowers and friendly locals. It's not far to other amenities - we hiked Mt Erskine and loved the bakery 'Francis Bread'. We loved eating our meals on the patio at the condo. Thanks!'

'My husband and I are planning on retiring on the island and wanted to see what it was like in the winter. The Inn at the Sea was a great location. The condo had all the amenities we needed. The beds were the MOST comfortable beds we have ever slept in…could’ve had stayed forever. Beautiful location. Will be staying there again.'

'The suite was very clean and well-stocked with pots/pans/plates/cutlery. Bed was creaky - roll over and it was noisy. Otherwise all was excellent, great wifi and tv on wifi, pretty perfect. Not cozy, though - minimal decor.'

Our only major cons about the property is that the kitchen is quite small and would be difficult to truly cook a family meal with the size of the appliances and sink (There is also no freezer or microwave). The wifi was not the strongest and would cut out at times. 'Loved this spot with a great view of the ocean. Also enjoyed the hot tub at the pool area. Nice cedar trees in the back with a grassy area and toys. Very quiet in May! Such a beautiful quiet area away from the city. Very comfy bed and a great host. Would def come here again.'
