Our family just spent a week here and loved our stay. We hiked in both Cottonwood Canyons (Lake Blanche Trail, Red Pine Lake, Bell Canyon, Gloria Falls) and spent a rest day at Red Butte Gardens and City Center Mall. We felt close to everything, and the house is very clean and brand new as pictured. We also enjoyed most of our dinners on the roof as the sun set over SLC with unforgettable views. The pictures in the listing had blinds closed to better see the rooms, but when opened you are literally surrounded by mountain views on two sides and a complete view of Salt Lake City (including downtown and the State Capital) on the third side.
Our only negative was that the two twins listed were not actual beds with mattresses (one was a fairly firm couch - as stated in the listing - and one was a wooden bench with a pad on it) and our 12 year old said it was uncomfortable to sleep on (after trying both on different nights). We also found some short dog hairs on the couches and carpet (which were freshly cleaned and vacuumed), which made me think that either the owner has pets or someone disobeyed the no pets rule! It was minimal, and the only reason I mention it is that one of our children is dog-allergic and has asthma, so it triggered some wheezing (which in fairness, may have also been compounded by the smoke covering SLC from the California wildfires). But none of that kept us from having a fabulous week, and the owner was very responsive. Overall a great house in a great location :)
