'Very nice location quiet and very close to port and town. - excellent and fresh breakfast - WiFi only available at reception not in the room! - rooms were spacious - when we arrived the receptionist only spoke Italian No English, French, German or Spanish. Difficult to communicate. - we asked to replace one bed. It was an old bedframe and made a lot of noise. - there was a blood stain on the bed cover. We asked to replace it. Staff said it was no blood. Conclusion: very nice place but...

'Amazing view of the Sea and mountains from the balcony. Extremely friendly and helpful staff and management. Free shuttle to and from port upon arrival and departure. Excellent location within walking distance of town center, port, restaurants etc. Extremely spacious room, with kitchenette. Lipari is a gorgeous island and an excellent hub to explore the surrounding Aeolian islands from.'

'Francesca is een heel goede gastvrouw, die haar vak verstaat. Zij is heel voorkomend en vriendelijk. Gedurende ons verblijf nam het hotel deel aan een slow food event, waarvoor ook wij werden uitgenodigd. De moeite waard, mede omdat zij ervoor zorgde dat Engels sprekende deelnemers aan onze tafel zaten. Wij wensen haar verder veel succes!'

'Great hotel near all the activities of Lipari, it was a fantastic base for our family holiday. Larger rooms for Italy which we enjoyed.'

'Posto molto bello, ma andrebbe rinnovato. Soprattutto il costo del soggiorno è troppo elevato per i servizi offerti. Basti considerare che nonostante la tariffa della camera sia molto alta, si paga l’accesso alla piscina. Inoltre manca internet e la pulizia dell’abitazione è ogni 4 giorni. Infine assurdi i prezzi del bar: 16 euro per un pane cunzato minuscolo. In conclusione posto dalle grandi potenzialità. Serve una gestione più attenta. '

'Ottima casa, con stupenda vista sul mare del porto di Canneto di Lipari. Pulitissima. Host la signora Cinzia, ci ha dato ottimi consigli sul cosa fare e cosa visitare, fornendoci anche alcuni sconti su ristoranti e barche. Un consiglio: affittare uno scooter e fare il giro di tutta la costa attorno a Lipari, non ha prezzo e lascia col fiato sospeso.'

'Our room (41 with kitchen area) grew on me over our four nights here. Initial thoughts were that it was very dark. But learn to throw open the shutters on the three windows to let as much light in as possible. Small hotel in an old building (c 15 rooms on three floors) on main street- our room was quiet as it was at the back (looking over an archaeological area). Other than deckchairs on roof, no other facilities apart from breakfast in morning (was just OK - rolls on second morning were...

'We didn't stay at Agave, but at Villa Meligunis, which as I understand is the same hotel but different building. The room was nice and the breakfast amazing with astonishing view.'
