Salem Family Trip
This place is amazing!!! You never really know how the photos & reviews will line up with the actual residence, but in this case, it was even better than we hoped. We loved everything about it; the cleanliness, layout, spaciousness, quietness, amazing window views, 60's-style decor, huge deck, FULLY-stocked kitchen, ease of check-in/out process, and thoughtful touches like games, information binder, etc. We went up there with 3 generations of family for my uncle's 80th birthday party. Before we went home, family members were able to stop by at intervals to visit a bit, and there was plenty of room to have different conversations without it feeling cramped or loud. We loved hanging out on the deck and the lovely view of the trees. I especially loved the stained glass window. My parents are in their 80's, so having a bedroom on the first floor was ideal for them. Be aware though that this is not a house for the elderly or disabled, as it is built into a hill and there are many levels of stairs to manage. No issues with our group though. Only suggestion I can think of is to have more washcloths available (vs. the "makeup" towels which weren't great for washing/absorption) and more toilet tissue (we wound up purchasing some on day 3). Also, be mindful that the lower level and master bedroom can get cold while the main living area stays warmer, but it wasn't an issue. We were only warm on Sunday afternoon (when it was 103 outside!). We really loved our stay here!!
