A small authentic village where we go to get bread by bike and drink drinks in the shade of plane trees in front of the church and bullring.
8 bikes all paths including 4 for adults and teens and 4 for children from 3 to 12/13 years are at your disposal.
The house comprises on the ground floor:
- A large air-conditioned room with large windows overlooking the terrace, the garden and the countryside. This room of about 100 m2 includes several well-defined but non-partitioned spaces:
- An American kitchen with a large workbench and dinette, which has, besides all the usual necessities, a fridge freezer with ice dispenser, a 4-burner gas hob, a programmable electric oven, a microwave, a dishwasher, a Nespresso machine, a toaster and all the usual household appliances.
- A sofa seating area, armchairs, coffee table and bookcase,
- A TV area with large LED TV, freebox, home theater, PS3,
- A dining area for 8 to 10 guests
- A fireplace area
- An office area.

From the entrance, a corridor serves:
A room with bed 160,
A children's room with bunk bed 3 beds.
A bathroom with sink and large Italian shower.
An independent toilet.

Upstairs
A large master suite with bed in 180 cm,
with bathroom (two basins, walk-in shower, bath, toilet)
 large dressing room and television.

A closed private space behind an electric gate with a shelter for the sun and rain allows to park two cars and bicycles.

The garage and its laundry room communicate with the house.
The laundry room has a freezer, an extra fridge, a washing machine, a small fryer, a yogurt maker, a blender, a large steam rice cooker, a scraper, a ceramic hob, a steam cooker, a soda stream etc ...

THE ENVIRONMENT, THE DISTRICT, THE SURROUNDINGS AND THE WALKS:
The house is located at the end of a dead end, behind a remote controlled metal gate, backed by the village and directly overlooking the surrounding countryside.
This year, a few hectares in front of the house are planted with wheat.
The garden of about 250 m2 facing south is fully enclosed and includes a swimming pool (5 m / 2.7 m / prof 1.2 m) ideal with young children with swimming against the current, it is slightly elevated, has a shelter for the midday sun and has two large poufs and 4 chairs. If there are young children we install a radar alarm that triggers at the least "splash".
Automatic watering, every night, refreshes the lawn and the mint that proliferates (ideal for tea or mojitos ..)
The barbecue area, sheltered from the sun, includes a worktop with a wood burning fireplace for grilling as well as string cooking and a gas griddle.
The terrace is covered in summer with a large camouflage net protecting from the heat of the sun but allowing the breeze to pass, there is a very large dining table for at least 12 guests, two teak sofa, a coffee table and some floating wooden stools.
The house is 10 minutes walk from the small market, the bakery which makes a famous bread, the bistro, the bullring, the post office, the church and a small supermarket Uexpress and the 7 hairdressers of the village ....
There are 7 or 8 small restaurants, including an excellent pizzeria, all within a 10-minute walk.
In July and August, many traditional activities are organized in the village and the arena (abrivados, Camargue races, toro swimming pool, concerts ...)
You have to go to the website of the tourist office for entertainment and tourist information, it also shows pretty pictures of the village and its environment.
You will be a few minutes by bike from the famous cycle path VIA RHONA 815 kms green route reserved for cyclists and connecting the Camargue to the Alps.
It is on the edge of the Canal du Midi and next to the marsh of Carbonnière, on which watch the famous tower that marked the entrance to the Kingdom of France when St. Louis came to found Aigues Mortes before his departure in crusade.
From the top of the tower (one of the highest places in Camargue) you can enjoy a 360 ° view of 3 departments. You can see Mont Ventoux, the Alpilles, the Cevennes and the Camargue, but nothing beats the sunrise or sunset with the pink flamingos in the water and the bulls and camargue horses grazing at your feet.
Saint Laurent is a very quiet village between sea, marsh and garrigue and an ideal starting point to visit the Camargue and the delta of the Rhone, the Cevennes, Provence and the Alpilles.
Many excursions of a few hours are available to you:
Arles, Nimes and Montpellier are less than half an hour by car.
Fontvieille, Saint Rémi, the Baux de Provence and Avignon are an hour away, like Sète and Narbonne.
The medieval town of Aigues Mortes, its ramparts and entertainment is 8 km away.
The beaches of Grau du Roi, Port Camargue, La Grande Motte and Saintes maries de la mer are 15, 25 and 30 km away.

BOAT: If you have a transportable boat, there is a launch nearby, and instead of renting a location in the week, overpriced, Port Camargue or La Grande Motte, we can give you the possibility for less than 150 € / week to park it in the marina of Aigues Mortes, 7 km from the house. This will allow you to go directly to the beaches by boat through the Aigues Mortes canal, but also to go for a super hike of a few hours on the Canal du Midi. It is very easy to reach Carnon or Palavas on one side or to cross the Camargue in the middle of the reeds towards Gallician and Saint Gilles on the other side.
