    RIO LOCO is one of the best kept secrets in the Country Club. Private and secluded, this beautiful hill country home is perfect for your Frio family vacation. The spacious, open floor plan allows for cooking, eating, and gathering your family and friends in a very comfortable way. The kitchen bar also has added seating. The split floor plan for the bedrooms is great. Each bedroom has a TV & private bath.

    Outdoors there is a large covered patio area which includes table & chairs, huge outdoor granite counter with sink and a 2nd refrigerator. To complete the outdoor amenities, there is a large, flat screen TV, fire pit, and BBQ pit located inside the fenced patio area. But best of all, the safety fenced pool is oversized, which makes RIO LOCO the perfect vacation home!

    To help keep the cost of your rental down, we do offer our guest the option to bring their own Linens and Towels. We do offer the option to rent them at an extra cost. If wanting to rent linens and towels for your stay, please allow us 3 weeks prior to arrival notice. Make note that we do have a limited supply and cannot guarantee we will have lines and towels readily available.

    Bedroom 1 — sleeps 2 – 1 king
    Bedroom 2 — sleeps 4 – 2 queen
    Bedroom 3 — sleeps 6 – 1 queen/queen bunk; 1 queen
    Bedroom 4 — sleeps 8 – 2 queen/queen bunk beds

    What to Bring.
    LINENS: Bring linens and pillowcases, pillows, blanket/bedspread are provided.
    TOWELS: Bath towels, washcloths, kitchen towels and pool towels.
    CHAIRS: Bring folding or sack chairs to take to the river. The chairs at the rental should not be removed from the property.
    PAPER GOODS: Paper towels, toilet paper, napkins, paper plates, plastic cups, plastic ware.
    SOAP: Dishwashing, laundry and hygiene products
    BBQ: There are BBQ cooking utensils, but remember to bring charcoal/lighter/matches.
    Your kitchen is complete with dinnerware, silverware, glasses, basic cookware, coffee pot, microwave, pots & pans.

There were a few minor issues we came across was the pool was dirty upon arrival and we cleaned it out. The master bathroom tub wouldn’t drain properly and the trash bins on the side of the house were completely full of trash with no trash bag. Other than that we had a good time and will return. A little suggestion would be to label the light switches (there’s so many) to make it easier on which is which.

The location was not too far from the river even though so of our family members wanted to stay closer to the river in my opinion the Country Club area was excellent. I certainly recommend the property and we look forward to returning next year.

We saw quite a few more scorpions than I have had experience with in the past; not a huge deal to my group but a bit concerning for more discerning parties. No internet/WIFI was quite a big surprise, and is a deal breaker for me and my group moving forward. Nice patio and pool, lots of parking is great. If Internet were to be added, I would certainly use and recommend the home to others. Thank you for the use of your beautiful home.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have stayed at several vacation rentals and I was disappointed in this one. First, as we arrived the water was off. Had to call to turn but on. They said at check-in that the were on a water conservation notice and it would start at 12am to 6am. It never started at that time first night was at 11pm second night at 1030pm. Called and they said they could do nothing about it. Very inconvenient for us. The house was not clean when we got there. The floors were dirty cabinets needed to be clean, fridge were dirty. Tv outside didn't work and the outside patio was not clean at all. This is the first house in 8yrs that we have been going to concan that I was not happy with. But we had to make the best of it.
