« We were directly above the bar which had loud music until 1.30 am Easter Saturday night , so unable to sleep before 2 am . Guess we should have joined the party but we were too tired to do so . Apart from that ,the room and services were ok but you wouldn't want to pay more for these standards . »

« Très bien pour une étape dans la région. Accueil sympathique, hôtel bien entretenu. Grande chambre familiale avec un lit double et un canapé lit confortable. Un coin cuisine et une belle terrasse. Salle de bain assez grande avec de bons produits de toilette. Très bon petit déjeuner varié, la 2ème salle de restaurant moins bruyante et plus grande a été apprécié. Nous avons diner au restaurant de l'hôtel, les plats sont bons et les prix corrects. Grand parking devant l'hôtel. »

« As we didn’t book direct with the hotel our evening meal wasn’t included. That wasn’t a problem as you could dine in any of the restaurants for £30 per head. Traveller’s be aware though if you didn’t want to dine in there was no other food purchase options available after 4pm. They don’t offer room service either. The grounds are extensive and it’s not possible to walk to anywhere. Take snacks with you as there is a fridge available in the room. »

« Full of character - friendly welcoming staff. Great comfy four poster bedroom. Lovely fresh pub food and a wonderful hearty breakfast. A lovely beer garden so peaceful in a picture perfect village. »

« The Whately is perfectly located in the centre of Banbury, nice staff, beautiful garden, complete breakfast in a spacious room. The beds are very very comfy. The building itself is wonderful, but the hotel needs a big refreshment: the carpets in the stairs are worn to the bone, covered with scotch tape, one of our curtains was torn apart, the handle was about to fall from the bedroom door, and the cold water was slow to go out from the tap. « Not what was advertised premium room was very understated, no chairs to view TV we had to lay on the bed. The window had a dresser in front obscuring the view. The inn was closed when we arrived 2pm left waiting for 20 minutes as no one was answering the phone, the entrance was very poorly maintained the bench at the door was obviously used for smo »

« Reception staff were very helpful. I had forgotten my UK adaptor and they kindly lent me one and were helpful with directions to get to places. »

« The Bower House property is truly a gem. Clean and beautiful property at a reasonable rate. Nobody around on Monday and Tuesdays to check you in just a lock box system, but it works well. »

« Could use a bit more out door lighting at night to not be in the pitch black and indicate an establishment is still there but otherwise was a very welcoming experience. »
