Mooi compact vakantieverblijf

Het verblijf is boven de garage en is goed en functioneel ingericht. Niet super groot, met 2 grotere kinderen ervaar je wellicht dat het krap is. Mooie uitvalsbasis naar New Forest

Getaway Break

Excellent property, very clean and well presented. Easy location to find and go from to explore the New Forest and surrounding areas. I would highly recommend. We will return. Thanks for a fantastic badly needed "recharge" break.

Great place with everything we needed for a short break. Lovely clean accommodation. The pastries and biscuits were a lovely surprise on arrival. Very helpful and friendly owners.

Perfect retreat

Lovely little home from home. Nice touch of welcome basket. Exceptionally clean, very comfortable self catering apartment. With added bonus of air con (most needed when we stayed!) Helpful friendly hosts. Easy access to the beautiful surrounding New Forest & Dorset areas. Highly recommend.

Long weekend at The Shire

We enjoyed our stay at The Shire, it was perfect for 2 with all you might need, I particularly liked the kitchen area with the latest appliances. Ideal situation next to the New Forest and just down the A31 to Poole/Bournemouth. Hosts were welcoming and helpful and we had a lovely time. Thank you

Great location

We were very happy with our rental, hop - skip & jump to many wonderful locations to explore. Property was cosy,clean and modern and we could utilise the grounds for some outdoor games also (petanque, frisbee...)

Little bit of heaven

We were looking for a quiet stay to recharge our batteries with a new born and a 5 year old. Stones throw from many of the places we wanted to visit and will be going back in the future to our little bit of heaven. Just the no fuss break we needed.

A lovely property in a great location

We really enjoyed our stay in The Shire. It's in a great location to explore Hampshire and Dorset. The property has all the amenities you could need for a comfortable stay. We would definitely consider staying again if we are visiting the area.

Great stay at The Shire

We booked 5 nights at The Shire as we were attending a local festival. The accommodation is compact but has everything you need including Neff kitchen appliances, TV, WiFi, powerful shower and comfortable beds. Secure parking, quiet location yet easily accessible from A31. We would book again.

A wonderful place

We stayed at The Shire for a three day break. As a family with two young children we were thrilled to find a place that was so clean, inviting and safe. The girls enjoyed the pull out sofa bed, Netflix and toys. We all enjoyed the lovely treats our hosts left for us- that was a great surprise. I could not recommend the place enough and we hope to return again soon.

The Shire has everything you need, so why go anywhere else?

The Shire is a charming little place and perfectly formed, it has everything you need in terms of amenities and it's perfectly placed to use as a base for exploring the New Forest and beyond. My son and I really enjoyed our stay there, so we would happily recommend The Shire and look forward to the next time we can stay there. Rob and Tracy are great hosts, they are there if you need them, which is nice to know.

Quality accomodation

As other reviewers have mentioned - an amazing welcome package of coffee, pastries, milk and Jam. The location is really good for travelling to lots of different areas without too much difficulty - the traffic around Ringwood is always a pain. Southampton is within easy travelling distance, as is Salisbury, Bournemouth is just down the road, accessing the New Forest is quick and easy too. Just be aware that the bathroom is accessed from the bedroom if you are going to share the accommodation.

Beautiful location, homely environment

Just home from a 4 night stay at The Shire, a lovely home from home in the perfect location to explore The New Forest. We also had a trip to Bournemouth and to Poole which were easy to find and only a short drive away. Rob and Tracy are very welcoming and accommodated all of our needs, the goodies on arrival were a lovely touch and much appreciated! Would highly recommend for a peaceful break in a beautiful location

wonderful break in a beautiful property

We had an amazing break. The annex was beautifully done and owners put a lot of thought into the design and comfort. In a lovely quiet setting too. Goodies provided was a lovely touch. Would recommend property to friends and family. Thank you Tracey who made us feel very welcome.

Clean, Modern, perfect for a short break away.

Loved the property set within stunning grounds of the house. Owner was lovely and nice touch with the croissants and biscuits (which happened to be my favourites)!!! Only complaint would be kitchen needs some more glasses and cutlery. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
