This place is so adorable! More spacious than I was anticipating as well. Close to Rice Lake and some cute nearby towns, there is plenty to do. We rented an ATV and rode the Wild Rivers Trail. Will definitely stay again.One thing to note - the lake is NOT suitable for any type of recreation at this time of year. It is full of lily pads and algae. I only state this in case one is booking anticipating to swim, kayak, etc. It had no bearing on our stay:)

Family Get Away

It was PERFECT! It was close to Shell Lake where my girls enjoyed a day of sun and beach time! My daughter from Minneapolis came down and we brought our other daughter and granddaughter who live in Anchorage , Alaska and who were visiting us in Milwaukee. We haven't been all together in 4 years! We loved the fireworks on Rice Lake! I do suggest that there be a stool in the master bedroom because the bed is so high and too high for us short people! It was very relaxing! Lots of memories were made here!

Property even better than the internet listing. Beautiful appointments, charming decor, very good condition. Kitchen had so many extras we hadnt even expected! Well-lit and unique light fixtures. The fireplace was beautiful, easy to use, and took off that morning chill. Everything was wonderful. Would definitely come again!!

Cabin was beautifully decorated and located in a quiet area. Located close to town. Walking trails right out the front door. Everything in the description was just as described. Perfect family getaway spot.

Fantastic setting, clean and perfect for our visit. Even though we would have loved to be there longer in mornings , we had MC rides for 3 days with friends on Rice lake 1.2 miles away. Great local for our visit. We will definitely recommend to others in future visits.

Amazing time

We had an amazing time on our girls weekend with my 2 daughters. The property is beautiful! We enjoyed lots of walks, listening to the birds, and morning coffee on the patio of the lower birchview suite! We will definitely be staying again.

Amazing retreat

Lori & Ted were fabulous hosts! Property was spotless, well appointed & comfortable. Any information we needed was sent promptly via text; we chatted individually with both Lori & Ted....such kind people. We truly enjoyed our time away from home. Enchanting rooms and location

This place had a very warm country feel. The location was awesome with lots of privacy and a lake view. We enjoyed our stay very much - even in the wintertime. It was also very convenient for the event we had in Rice lake.

Twice as nice the second time around!

I am a repeat guest to this property, but this time my Dear Husband (DH) was along for the festivities. For me, it was again the perfect place to host a small Thanksgiving dinner for family. DH held the opinion this was the nicest VRBO he has had the pleasure to stay in. Ted and Lori made sure everything was just perfect, and we left this stay already preplanning our return next summer. Excellent place to stay

This place was beautiful. The view was spectacular. The cabin was so cute and perfect for the amount of family that was with me. It was so peaceful and I could definitely have stayed longer and just enjoyed the beauty. The little desk they have stocked with paper and pens and you could do journaling was perfect. They definitely put a lot of work into making it beautiful and peaceful and very clean. Definitely would go back.

Bachelorette party

I booked the birch view lower level suite for my little sisters bachelorette party. It was the perfect place for our small group! We took advantage of the pontoon and spent the day swimming and relaxing. The cottage itself was very homey, beautifully decorated, & extremely clean. Definitely would recommend!

Lovely escape to the woods

Birch view was a wonderful property to visit. Very clean and comfortable. My mother and I were there for a family wedding and I was afraid we would be too far out of town. However, the location is surprisingly convenient to Rice Lake for shopping, etc.

Absolutely beautiful!

This is a beautiful property in the heart of Rice Lake! Close to everything, but just out far enough that you feel secluded. Three friends and I shared one two-bedroom unit and another 4 friends shared another. Both were impeccably decorated and the feel is so welcoming. Everything was stocked well too. Next time we are all up curling, we’ll be back! Thank you!!

Fantastic stay!!

I rented this property for a quick visit with family, and I was in need of a place where we could cook and enjoy early Thanksgiving for a small group of 4. I want to lead with the view: WOW! Looking out the windows or from the "porch" you have a view of the trees and the lake (probably a lot less view of the lake in summer :) ) It was cold, quiet, beautiful, and serene. This lovely apartment is attached but completely separate from the property owners home. The apartment was VERY clean, the furniture was comfortable (WOW that queen bed was so nice I had a hard time getting up!), and the kitchen was well-enough equipped that we could cook our Thanksgiving dinner with no worries. The hosts were gracious, friendly, and hospitable. I am already wanting to come back for a visit with the husband early summer.
