Casa Ventanas - Ocean-View Villa, A/C, Private Pool & Rancho

Casa Ventanas sits above Cabo Matapalo, at the wild southern tip of the Osa Peninsula, where the rainforest meets the Pacific. Floor-to-ceiling windows frame the ocean from nearly every room - hence the name.

THE SPACE
Three bedrooms, each with a king bed, sleeping up to six guests. The main house holds the primary suite: a walk-in closet and an en-suite bathroom with a jacuzzi and an ocean view from the tub. Two more bedrooms sit in a separate two-story building a few steps away - identical to each other, each with its own generous bathroom, ideal for two couples or a family that wants a little space of its own. In total: 3.5 bathrooms inside, plus a full bathroom out by the pool.

Every room has air conditioning - still rare in this part of the Osa - along with ceiling fans throughout and electric blackout blinds in the whole house, so you sleep cool and dark and wake when you choose.

OFF-GRID, WITHOUT COMPROMISE
The villa runs on a self-sufficient electrical system. No generators rattling at night, no power cuts interrupting your stay - just a quiet house that runs on its own.

OUTSIDE
The pool is the center of the property, with a rancho beside it: a covered open-air lounge with a BBQ grill and its own bathroom, built for long lunches and slow evenings. There is also a kitchen garden on the property - herbs and produce you are welcome to use.

THE LOCATION
Cabo Matapalo is the end of the road on the Osa. World-class surf breaks, waterfalls you can rappel, and some of the densest wildlife in Costa Rica - scarlet macaws, four species of monkey, toucans - are all within reach. Puerto Jimenez is the nearest town for restaurants, groceries and tours, and Corcovado National Park is close enough for a day trip.
