'A unique experience. Staying in a treehouse was very high on the novelty scale. Expect a slight slope in the floor, and don't forget to close the windows before you go to bed as the monkeys are sneaky and will steal any fruit that you leave on the dining table. A fun night.

'Incredible views from our room at Tunnel Top, overlooking the beautiful valley and the iconic train tracks! The room was spacious, very clean, and comfortable. We also loved that drinks were available for free throughout our stay.
The staff were outstanding — super friendly and genuinely accommodating. They made us drinks, helped carry our luggage up the stairs, and even arranged tuk tuk transportation into Ella for us. Their warm hospitality made our stay even better.

'Our stay at Te Dalu was exceptional. We loved that the hotel was located a little outside of Ella proper, which allowed for connection with the beautiful environment and scenery while still being convenient to the amenities of the main town. 'Das Hotel sollte Expedia aus dem Programm nehmen. Das Zimmer war schmutzig, verstaubt. Das Bad riecht übel. Kein warmes Wasser. Das fenster im Bad liess sich nicht schließen, dadurch besteht die Gefahr dass Mosquitos ungehindert eindringen und das in den Tropen. Im Flur liegen tote Insekten, Kakerlaken. Insgesamt ist das gesamte hotel schmutzig und heruntergekommen auch wenn sich das Personal bemüht. '

'Overall I would recommend a stay at Ella Ridge View but with a few caveats. It is a tucked away down a narrow road and a bit rough around the edges. We stayed in a room in the older building — and it wasn’t super clean. If you’re willing to look past that you will be rewarded with the best breakfast and best views. There is a family that lives on the ground floor and the staff are all very accommodating. '

'The staff were really annoying. On the first day, they kept coming to my room for every little detail, and I didn’t have any privacy. The next day, my breakfast was 40 minutes late. The bed was also not clean and had a strong, unpleasant smell from the anti-mosquito spray. The food was very basic as well.
