We had a good stay - clean, safe area, easy to get in/out, etc. would definitely stay again - only note is if you are a light sleeper there are neighbors above and the highway traffic is loud.
Clean, well-appointed, spacious, with industrial touches that you would expect in a city loft.
The entrance to the building is in an alley, with parking (extra fee) across the alley. Lots of construction going on in the alley. The street that runs outside the living room is busy, and there is a lot of traffic noise. That didn't bother me too much.
I would stay here again. The location and guaranteed parking is worth the price.
This place is really clean and the manager does a really great job with communication. Overall the inside was great. The two downsides are that it is noisy and the entrance is a little scary. The room we stayed in sounded like we were sitting on a street corner with cars whipping by. Note the noise dies down around 11 pm or so but started up at about 6 am or so. The front entrance is down an alley way which is really desolate at night which made it a little creepy. I'm a fairly big guy and I was a little creeped out at night.
The accomadatiions were excellent.
Everything was well stocked from bathroom supplies,
Kitchen equipment and appliances, down to small details like black makeup towels and coffee maker!
The shower was fantastic and the beds extremely comfortable! I would like to know what mattress brand was?
The parking facilities were a little scary at night, kind of far away from the building entrance, isolated and very dark. Being a single women traveling alone creates a little anxiety even though the neighborhood appears safe.
The overall experience was wonderful and I would recommend it!
Refurbished with typical industrial look, confortable, the apartment is near the hospitals, close to downtown and museums. Very easy communication with the property manager.
Convenient ,industrial style condo near Universities and UPMC
Repeat visit, close to Pitt/CMU campuses, so great for family stay while students move in/ move out. Spacious with full kitchen - and washer/dryer. Safe & secure and easy street parking. The host, Henry is extremely responsive. Three flat screen smart TVs in unit with a "Live TV" option in LR which worked out great this time. I'd recommend and stay again.
We needed a place to stay for just two days to drop off our new PittU student for move in week and this was located very close to the university. It was very cozy, comfortable and nicely decorated.
When arriving I was a little put off by the location, as it is on an alley between two busy streets, and the building is an old warehouse that has been covered into lofts. But do not let the location put you off. The apartment was quiet, clean, and met or exceeded all our expectations. Our management contact was very helpful and answered our questions promptly. We had a wonderful Christmas weekend here.
This property is probably the best bang for your buck in the PGH area. Why stay at a hotel when you can have the space and amenities that this property has to offer.. we didn't have to bring a thing.. even the shampoo and laundry detergent was there. The best bonus, access to an indoor garage too.
The owner reps are super friendly, nice, and very responsive. I have done dozens of VBRO rentals and rent my own properties... Henry is top notch and very professional
The location is great. Minutes from Oakland ( Pitt Campus), walking distance to Shadyside, and a quick Uber or drive to down town or the strip district. If your coming in to see the city or go to a game, this is the best place to stay hands down. I have been visiting PGH for over 30 years, been in and out of dozens of hotels and rentals and this will be my go to from now on.
This roomy 2 BR 1 BA apartment was a perfect home base for our several day visit which was a prelude to moving our son into a nearby off- campus apartment. Full service kitchen, washer & dryer came in handy with many more amenities than a small hotel room could have provided. Huge hallway for temporarily storing all the pre- move in purchases and deliveries. Comfortable mattresses and 3 smart TVs to help us unwind after long days ( but unfortunately no cable TV - no live Pirates game- as we realized upon arrival, if that makes a difference to others). Plentiful, safe on- street and private garage parking available ( read the welcome book to locate remote). Henry was very responsive to the few small glitches that popped up and even got us a tech friend to assist us (dinosaurs) with the smart tvs . Neighborhood may appear slightly off the main drag, but really only a block or two away from UPMC and Bigelow, Baum & Centre Streets; we felt safe coming and going at all hours and there's a Giant Eagle close by for filling the fridge. We'd recommend this property; much better than a hotel room for short or longer stays.
Great accommodations, location, and host - will book again in the future
The apartment was great, exactly as advertised. Henry was very helpful and responsive for any questions or concerns that we had. The flat screen TVs in every room were a nice touch. We will book here again. Highly recommend if you are looking for a spot close to Pittsburgh.
The apartments are nice and roomy. High ceilings. Plenty of light. Being recently renovated, everything is in great shape. Apartment was clean. Kitchen has basic utensils and coffee. Thoughtful details such as dishwasher and laundry soap were made available. There are a couple of convenience stores and restaurants within a block. The parking garage option offered is very convenient. We had a very comfortable stay.
