'Bathroom floors were dirty and sticky. Room was supposed to have blackout curtains…room had sun shining through the windows at 5:30AM. Awful!! Manager was very rude and said they knew the curtain wasn’t there/damaged and have a curtain on order - sorry that’s unacceptable for someone to stay in the room!! Never would stay there again.'

'this was more like an Air B&B experience than a hotel experience. Very comfortable beds and bedding, beautiful property, friendly communication with host.'

'My key cards didn't work at 4:30am and no one was working the front desk, had to sit and wait 45 minutes in the lobby for someone to finally show up.'

'Parking was right outside our room and we had a patio door which made getting items in and out very easy.'

'The person checking us in was very pleasant and informative. However, the room definitively needed updating. There were places on the walls that had been primed but not painted and paint on the molding around the bathroom door. The view of the lake from the balcony was nice.'

'This motel is very overpriced for the amenities and cleanliness. This is a motel and yet the front door do not automatically opened. With luggage this was very difficult to navigate. 'A pretty interesting stay. Expedia said check in was at 3, but when we arrived, a clearly posted sign said check in was 4. There was no one in the lobby and I had to press a button to ring for them. The man at the counter was nice enough, but he needed to go check to make sure our room was cleaned. We waited close to 10 minutes in the lobby before he returned. There was no A/C in the lobby and there were dehumidifiers running in the halls. When we checked in I was not asked for ID or a credit...

'Right off the highway, yet close enough to both the Indiana Dunes State and National Parks that we were able to make multiple trips to both during our short stay. Highly recommend Wagners, local restaurant, for the rib dinner.'

'The road to get to the lodge was very narrow, and we almost went into a ditch trying to let a maintenance truck go through. The room that we were given was right above the restaurant, and it felt like we were put in an office rather than an actual lodging room. It was away from the other rooms in the lodge, which felt weird. The room did not have a number on the door or beside it, so we had difficulty finding it.
