'The house was everything we needed, opposite a pub and the swimming pool. The villagers were very friendly and helpfull, especially in the swimming pool. Unfortunately the internet stopped working on the third day but the rental company responded out of hours to help sort it out..'

'Though bijou, it was well designed and the space was very well used. The outside space was good and lovely to have the hills around, We did have problems using the very modern microwave/grill and cooker - It needed DETAILED WRITTEN INSTRUCTIONS! and we would have preferred an ordinary electric kettle. A corkscrew, too would have been useful!But, we enjoyed a wonderful 2 days'

'Cottage lovely and warm when we arrived. Could not get our heads around the wood burn. Bed is a touch low and bottom frame and drawers under bed likely to cause serious damage to toes and feet.Was very cosy.'

'We loved our stay at mallard Lodge and would definitely recommend. The weather was awful but expected in January but it didn't stop the kids fun. Lots of places to see. Great walks. Was wonderful to return to a warm, cosy lodge and a relaxing dip in the hot tub. Not fantastic TV reception or WiFi but we were there to escape all that. Anything we needed help with, selina was only a call away. We are looking forward to visiting again. X'
