'Pool was very cold, not nice and a bit dirty. No views (in city, street view with balcony on street). The wide angle views of the hotel's pictures give an inappropriate view. The setup for me was more like 3 stars. Nevertheless, the stay was fair. The area with beaches is great. But next time, I will not stay here but book a bed & breakfast with better views'

'Modest accomodations, but with all amenities, like shower, balcony, AC and a fridge in addition. There was no TV but who needs that with the beach only an arms length away...Room was clean, atmosphere friendly and informal, manager very helpful. The manager even drove me to the bus station when I thought I'd miss the bus. I had one of the most relaxing vacations ever for the lowest price ever. And I fell in love with Greece.'

'Dit hotelletje lig in de bergen. Als je uit de kloof omhoog komt, kun je aan het einde van de Fygu kloof opgehaald worden. De volgende dag wordt je bij Samaria afgezet. Eten prima, slapen lekker fris.'

'The property was beautiful, clean and well equipped lovely products in the bathroom, fresh towels and great breakfast. Maria and Nikos were the perfect Cretan host with all the warmth and kindness that only the Cretan’s can offer . We temporarily lost our car key they jumped to help us, collecting us from the salt lake pouring balm ( wine ) to soothe our troubles and then returning us to the salt lake and our vehicle , once we had realised we had stashed the key in a beach shoe thank you guys...

'Mooie locatie in een rustig dorpje. Het is hier absoluut niet toeristisch. Kamers zien er keurig uit. Helaas hadden wij gedacht dat alle kamers aan het zwembad lagen. Helaas was dat niet zo. Ontbijt is ook prima'

'Wij werden heel hartelijk ontvangen door de eigenares. Uitgebreide info over omgeving met foldertje. Mooi zicht op zwembad en de zee in de verte. Heel mooi en groot strand. Restaurantjes... ruime kamer met terras, ijskast, airco. We voelden ons als thuis. Dichtbij prachtige wandelmogelijkheden. Een aanrader. '

'Calypso is a rare find, with extremely helpful staff members, excellent Cretain food in the restaurant, comfortable modern rooms with sea-view balconies. I have stayed here many times. It is always the highlight of my time on the island's south coast.'
