Nice Unit, Awful Opulent Vacations
The unit itself was comfortable but our group had a multitude of communication & logistics issues. This unit was managed through opulent vacations. The address was incorrectly listed in the app so we were trying to enter a home that wasn’t ours. Apparently that wasn’t even the first time a wrong address has been listed. How is something as rudimentary as the correct address overlooked by a property company for our rental much less multiple times? By the time we left the incorrectly listed address, dogs were barking inside the home. I truly hope we did not stress out the animals or any people that were home at the time of the incident. These homeowners deserve a proper apology for the incident and Opulent Vacations needs to audit the addresses of their entire portfolio immediately to prevent future issues of this kind.
The second day of our trip the property owner knocked on our door asking who we were because he wasn’t told he had a booking. Our group was concerned we would be kicked out of our rental due to the lack of communication. VRBO should no longer work with companies that file for bankruptcy or companies that take their communications & payments off the VRBO app as it leads to an incredibly negative customer experience and potential opportunities for fraud. I will follow up with VRBO and Opulent Vacations with more details.
