An unusual little house dating from the 1970s, steeped in local history (formerly the infirmary of the tile factory that occupied the premises), has been fully restored in the style of an urban cottage. It's nestled at the edge of a dead-end alley on a former industrial site, within a residential area bordering the banks of the Canal du Centre (best explored by boat), alongside a greenway (at the crossroads of numerous cycling routes), and adjacent to the town center and a 15-hectare park (rich in 850 trees and conifers from around the world). Boasting a truly exceptional heritage (the late 11th-century Basilica of the Sacred Heart, a masterpiece of Romanesque art and the best-preserved example of Cluniac architecture in Burgundy; the Eucharistic Museum of the Hiéron, the oldest museum of sacred art in France…), and a major center of Romanesque art in a designated "Land of Art and History," the charming town of the Sacred Heart offers numerous amenities and leisure facilities. Explore the surrounding bucolic, unspoiled countryside (a protected ZNIEFF area), combining the renowned Charolais bocage with beautiful wild forests (including the nearby Bois des Aisances, offering numerous paths for relaxing walks in the undergrowth).
