This beautiful mid-century modern, spacious one bedroom, fully furnished apartment provides a comfortable and stylish 'home away from home' nestled in the hills of Desert Hot Springs. The apartment comes with a full kitchen, walk-in closet, central heat and air conditioning. Original mid-century details throughout. The open floor plan lends itself to casual and relaxed living.

The front door leads out to a large patio with palm trees, pool and hot tub*. Your backdrop during the warm sunny days and star filled desert nights will be the spectacular vista of the Little San Bernardino Mountains. Nearby resorts feature the most unique natural mineral springs found anywhere in the world. Naturally hot thermal waters fill pools and spas and treat a wide variety of ailments. The drinking water (which comes right out of the tap) has been rated best and 2nd best in the world for several years running.

For a modest fee, guests can obtain day passes to nearby spas that offer some of the best thermal mineral baths and spa treatments in the Desert Hot Springs area. Hope Springs and Tuscan Springs are within walking distance. And less than 10 minutes away are Two Bunch Palms Resort & Spa and the Desert Hot Springs Hotel & Spa, both featuring spa treatments, good restaurants, and occasionally live entertainment.

The Getaway is freeway close, on bus lines, near shopping, grocery stores, and restaurants. It's a 15 minute drive to Palm Springs, 30 minutes to Joshua Tree, 2 hours to San Diego or Los Angeles, and just 20 minutes to the best discount shopping at the gigantic Cabazon Outlet Mall. Two of the areas premiere golf courses are less than a 5 min drive. Nearby is a city park with tennis and basketball courts, a baseball field, and skating course. *Pool heater – optional, additional $420.00 per week due before arrival. Hot tub heater – optional, additional $100.00 per day due before arrival. Please inform The Getaway management at least 24 hours in advance if you would like the pool and/or hot tub heater activated during your stay.

Pet fee – optional, pets are allowed on a case by case basis. The pet fee is $25 per pet/per day. Cats are never allowed in any of the apartments.

There are video cameras for security purposes only in the exterior common areas (parking lot, pool deck/patio, the sides and back of complex).

All guests booking their reservation through any third-party booking platform must digitally sign an additional copy of a short term rental agreement which will be sent to them by email after their reservation has been booked. Otherwise, they will not be granted access to the apartment and will be subject to the cancellation policy as stated.

The Getaway is perfect for small to medium sized events. PLEASE CONTACT THE MANAGEMENT BEFORE BOOKING YOUR RESERVATION if you plan to be staging an event or party that will include additional guests other than the ones registered as staying overnight. There is an extra fee to do so, and proof of event insurance will be required.

Bookings cancelled at least 30 days before the start of stay will receive 100% refund, minus the credit card processing fee (approximately 3%). Bookings cancelled between 29 and 15 days before the start of stay will receive a 50% refund, minus the credit card processing fee (approximately 3%). Bookings cancelled 14 days or fewer before the start of stay will pay a 100% cancellation fee. For cancelations anytime before the start date of a reservation 28 days or longer, The Getaway shall have the right to retain 50% of the rental amount, plus the credit card fee (approximately 3%). Cancellations for any reservation booked through the WhimStay platform will pay a 100% cancellation fee.
