Very disappointed when I arrived! Home was not cleaned like it looks in the pictures. Windows were dirty, furniture and appliances are very dated, cobwebs, Hair left behind from the previous occupant. We were asked to strip the bed linens, which is when I discovered how dirty and stained the pillows were, it made me sick.The Wi-Fi wasn’t working as well as it should have. I won’t refer friends to this property nor will I use it again unless it gets updated.

Lovely home with an amazing ocean view

We loved our stay. The house was clean and comfortable- and waking up every morning to the ocean was perfect. The beach out front was clean and always empty and peaceful. A lovely getaway. Hope to stay again soon!

Great Location unfortunately fell short for the cost

You couldn’t ask for a better location on the beach and steps from the beach. We had some issues with the house during our stay that was not addressed by the management company. The upstairs guest bathroom shower was broken. We informed the company on the first day and they said they would send someone to fix it and never did. We specifically looked for a house with three bathrooms with our family size. The master bathroom was loaded with bugs on arrival dead and alive filling the master bathtub. The bugs did not stop coming throughout our stay. The ovens in the kitchen did not work and we planned on cooking family dinners during our stay. On a positive note, the views from the master bedrooms were spectacular and the house was decorated very nicely. The hot tub was clean and worked great! There were plenty of beach toys to entertain our kids. All in all we had a wonderful time and would have made this rental our yearly spot for our travels to Oxnard. Unfortunately the communication was extremely poor. We understand things can happen but you need to address them and try to rectify the situation. Hopefully they can get their act together in the future.

Not great

While the beach and location is great, the inside of the home was covered in sand and had ants all over the place, even inside the silverware drawer. We were also locked out of using the A/C, leaving us no choice but to leave all of the windows open in the summer and have the ocean mist get everything all damp. The jacuzzi in the master bedroom didn't work. Instead of actual soap and shampoo we were left with tiny pouches of (think coffee creamer packet size) powder versions that don't work and only last a day. Text communications with the owner were actually with a bot. Wouldn't recommend.

Beautiful beach front property

Location is great, beautiful sunsets, saw dolphins, beach was quiet and sparsely populated. Kitchen was nicely laid out. Bring your own sharp knife if you like to cook and don’t want to use the fine but dull knives. Lovely beach breezes and patio.

Beautiful place but NO AC

We truly loved the location and the home. Directly on the beach access was so nice ! BUT super disappointed the home was listed with central ac so we booked in the heat of the summer, to show up to a hot house(my babies rooms were super hot at night too…)! And no working AC. After much confusion and apologies they still haven’t compensated us . So overall we a disappointed in the service . And don’t recommend going in the hot summer.

Oxnard beach hiuse

House and location were great, but this place has some issues. Dryer didn’t work and wasn’t replaced until two days prior to our departure. Jacuzzi was dirty and as a result my daughter, son in law and grandchild got a bacterial infection that looked like bed bug bites. Vacuum didn’t work, chair in patio was broken, door in front sliders wouldn’t open, no screens on upstair windows in small bedrooms. Just a lot of little stuff that should not be an issue, especially for the price they are charging. Kyle at vacasa was very helpful and tried to make things right, but it was one step forward and two steps back. With some TLC this place would be worth the price, but definitely not our week.

As lovely as the photos

We have stayed in a lot of places and this home was fantastic! The view was stellar. We had some issues with entry that were resolved asap. Vacasa was very responsive including delivering some hand and dish towels. We also alerted Vacasa that one of the main tri-fold doors to the beach wouldn’t open (we preferred not to have them fix things while we were there) and that the shed that houses the ping pong table had lock that wouldn’t open. Only challenge that was not in the control of Vacasa, is that there was some construction down the road and the pounding could be felt in the house. Regardless of the above, we all agree we would return ( a first for us!)

Great but overpriced

Beautiful house in a quiet area right on the beach. We enjoyed our stay there, but we would have liked the finishing touches to be a little more luxurious considering the high price we paid to rent the place for less than 48 hours. The dishware was chipped and old. Pots and pans, utensils and cooking materials were old and worn too. None of the outlets in the upstairs master worked. The bedding was basic, and the mattresses were hard. The exterior door handles on the bi-folding doors facing the beach were wrapped in duct tape, presumably to protect them from rusting, but not very attractive. The lock on the storage container that housed the ping pong table was rusted and didn’t unlock easily (it took multiple tries and a phone call to the property manager). The ping pong table has seen better days. The biggest issue though related to the main door on the bi-folding doors leading out to the beach, which we struggled to lock every time we tried. It appears to need repair or maintenance, as it doesn't seem locked when it’s locked, and it didn’t seem secure. As well, we asked for a check out later than 10 am and there was zero flexibility. Overall, we had a great weekend and enjoyed the house, but I think the house was overpriced for the quality of the finishing touches and the level of service we received.

Lovely stay

Location on quiet beach but close to Oxnard canals and Ventura Seaport activities. Lovely home, kitchen and view. Our entire family -all ages -enjoyed staying here.

Beautiful beach house

The property was on the beach in Oxnard. I don't think of Oxnard as typical beach location but it was a beautiful spot--wide sandy beach without any crowds (only a few scattered people on beach despite being holiday weekend, President's Day.) The property was modern, light and bright with wide windows that opened up completely to the beach. Jacuzzi was nice. No propane for the gas grill but huge oven in the kitchen made up for it. Would definitely go back again.

Who knew Oxnard?

This property is quite the gem. It feels so private. The house sits right on the white sandy beach and has a deck with lounge chairs and and a full dining set that sits 6 people comfortably. The 2 doors slide open all the way so you get that panoramic view of the ocean. We woke up to the sounds of the ocean every morning and fell asleep to the peaceful waves crashing at night. I knew this house was going to be nice but I didn't know it was going to be perfect! Super clean and very nice bathrooms. We had 7 comfortably staying and would recomend this beach house any day of the year. Don't get me started on the shower downstairs! The showerhead is on the ceiling and falls down with the perfect amount of pressure. The jacuzzi outside was heated perfectly and the property amenities make it a very comfortable stay. Thank you for sharing your property for all of us to enjoy. Great memories were made on this trip. We love you Oxnard! Who knew you were going to be so peaceful and beautiful.. 😍🌅🏖
