Splendid property consisting of two independent but communicating units with a shared terrace, perfect for two families or a group of friends. The house has many stairs, not recommended for those with mobility difficulties.
The property spreads over several levels and benefits from two independent entrances to the two houses. The first entrance opens onto a flight of stairs at the end of which is the first bathroom and the living room equipped with comfortable sofas gathered around the TV. Next door is the dining room and the independent kitchen equipped with all amenities including an oven and espresso machine. Going up further stairs you have access to the laundry room and the terrace. From the living room there is also access to the first bedroom with a queen-size bed and ensuite bathroom, and bathtub carved out of a alcove in the stone. Further stairs lead to the second bedroom with a French-size bed and ensuite bathroom with shower. This room also has access to the terrace. The annex is accessible both from the terrace and from a separate entrance facing the street. This consists of a living area with an open-plan kitchen and a final master bedroom and ensuite bathroom.
The apartment is located in the ZTL (limited traffic zone) area, therefore we suggest leaving the car in one of the nearby parking and enjoying the old town on foot.
*Upon arrival or a few days before arrival it may be required to pay a tourist tax, which varies according to local regulations. You will find your reservation details within the Guest Area of Wonderful Italy.
Ostuni, known to the world as the White City, is the pearl of the Itria Valley. Its blindingly white, immense historic center culminates in the Cathedral (600 meters from the apartment) that soars over the plain of olive trees, the coastal dune park, and a crystal-clear sea. Characteristic are its narrow streets, the Piazza della Libertà (5 minutes away), and the column of St. Oronzo that majestically protects the town.
Its countryside stretches into the heart of the Itria Valley. A few kilometers away is Ceglie Messapica, a center of tradition and enogastronomy; Cisternino, a village recognized as one of the most beautiful in Italy; and Alberobello, whose famous trulli have been a world heritage site since 1996. About 30 km to the north we find the Archaeological Park of Egnatia, Monopoli, and Polignano a Mare, ancient fishing villages with a charming historic center and beautiful beaches. To the north (80 km) we find Bari, the gateway to the East, while proceeding south we first encounter the Torre Guaceto nature reserve, then Brindisi to reach Lecce, the capital of Baroque. Moving westward there is Taranto, the heart of Magna Graecia, and finally to Matera, characteristic of its Sassi and European Capital of Culture 2019.
Brindisi Airport is a 40-minute drive away, while Bari International Airport is 100 km away.

Les points forts : Propreté, arrivée, emplacement et exactitude de l’annonce
Les points faibles : Communication
We really liked these apartments. The view from the terrace is wonderful and there’s a ton of space. The location is also great once you get settled. Easy to find with the directions but you do have to walk a bit to get there. As others have mentioned the stairs are a real doozy but you get used to them. We had a problem with one of the showers and I was never able to get a response from the host even though they sent, what seemed to be, automated messages to check in to see how things were going. Otherwise our stay was great.

Les points forts : Propreté et emplacement
Les points faibles : Arrivée et communication
The apartment had the historic charm of the region we were looking for. The management and maintenance of it by "Wonderful Italy" was at best subpar. Communication on check-in was nonexistent - I had to call the day before our flight left asking for information and told - not to worry. That was it. I finally received information as we say in the airport, 1 hour prior to our departure from USA. Upon arrival, beware that the many stairs have very little room to navigate luggage up the stairs. Screens on the main window were ripped. Cats from roof tops next door had free range of our terrace, The shower in the master bedroom was loose and the pipe moved side to side, leaking. The shower head did not work properly spraying water everywhere and had no shower curtain, resulting in water everywhere every day. And it could not handle anyone over the size of 5ft 9 inches due to it being carve into the side of the stone. Nearly impossible to turn around. Two of the three fans to help with air flow had blades broken off and unusable. The response time from "Wonderful Italy" when asking for more towels to manage the water flow - first time they ignored us, second time they made it clear that was all we got. All in all, while a great location, and what could be a very wonderful accommodation, several aspects made it less than a nice stay! I would not suggest until the maintenance is addressed. And I would not recommend for anyone over 40 and with more than a carry on piece of luggage.
