Alpine Meadows Mineral Springs Getaway

  • This classic Tahoe three-story home in Alpine Meadows offers four bedrooms, three bathrooms, a garage, a family room, and large deck with seasonal seating that the whole family will love.

    On the main level you will find a nice mud room to store all your gear, the living room and dining room with windows and a deck overlooking Bear Creek. Also on the main level, the kitchen is fully stocked with all the pots, pans and utensils to cook a full meal, a small breakfast nook and a full bathroom. Just a half flight of stairs up are two bedrooms and a full bath and just a half flight down, you will find the other two bedrooms and a full bath. The basement area is set up with a television, foosball table, and an exterior door that will take you to the creek in the summer months. Warm-up by the wood stove in the winter, enjoy large gatherings at the ten-person dining table, and enjoy the close proximity to Alpine Meadows and plenty of great hiking, horseback riding and other recreational activities.

    Property Notes
    * We provide a starting supply of toilet paper, paper towel, and laundry detergent, but recommend bringing extra for longer stays.
    * We do not provide shampoo / conditioner / or body wash although there could be some left from previous guests.
    * We recommend 4 x 4, AWD, or carrying snow chains in the winter months.
    * There is no air conditioning in this rental.
    * We do not provide firewood, but it can be purchased at locals shops.

Amazing location with more than enough space

The house was beautiful! Incredibly large for our family but we enjoyed the space. Definitely coming back for a longer stay!

We had a great time.

Home was quite comfortable and roomy. Nice quiet area close enough to the lake but not crowded. The only downside - bear fence was a little intimidating at first, but we learned to use it.

Great mountain home

We had a wonderful time. The house fit 8 of us perfectly, and was very well stocked. There were plenty of towels, toilet paper, and kitchen items. We would've liked to use the deck, but there's just one small table, so we didn't spend any time on the deck, as we all couldn't fit for a meal. Overall, it was exactly as the photos showed!

Great place & enjoyable stay despite bath not working

Loved:1. Location and overall spaciousness.2. Access to Mountaineer.3. 2 car garage.4. Three full bathrooms was important (especially because the bathtub was not working--see below)5. The play room in the basement was perfect to entertain the children (foosball and books). A few concerns during our stay but overall experience was still very positive.1. One bathtub and it leaked a significant amount of water between the spout and wall when turned on (docked one star for this). Reported to property manager and received a reply within hours. Couldn't be fixed over the weekend we stayed but there were 2 other functioning showers.2. Bear fence is a bit daunting at first especially with 3 children but it was easy enough to operate and was a non-issue.3. Main level is slow to heat (took 6 hours to go from 55 to 60 degrees) but the bathrooms and bedrooms warmed up quick so we could sleep comfortably the first night.

A really great stay for our two families with young kids

We stayed here in Dec 2021, during a large snowstorm. The place was quite large, beds and linens kept us warm, and the kitchen was extremely well stocked, allowing us to stay happy while snowed in. The internet speeds are great and while the movies and entertainment selections are a little bit dated, that was actually quite charming. Our 4 year old son fell in love with a VHS tape about snowplows. The kids were able to entertain themselves in the guestroom and by jumping around in the ample snow outside. There was plenty of space for them to expore. The wood burning stove is extremely efficient and cozy, and we used this as a the main source of heat during many snowy days. It's also super convenient to Alpine Meadows, where we went almost every day for skiing/riding. Bear fences were easy to operate and having a garage was awesome. We'd definitely come back to stay again.

The property was as described in the post, however While straightening up, prior to leaving, we were quite surprised to have found a dead rat in the living room under the blue couch cushion!!! The place did not have a bad scent and we found the place to be fine in all other areas.

Could use some updating. Some of the beds were comfortable some not. Heater quit working and no wood for fire during a random snow storm in May! Electric bear fence was a bit daunting. Overall we enjoyed it, just ended on a cold note! Would have given 4 stars if not for the heater.

Great Ski Lease

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We did family ski lease with another family for the 2014/2015 season. The house is wonderful and in a great location. The downstairs playroom was great for all the kids and any friends that came over. The creek in the backyard was great for the kids to play in and around. We had a great season irrelevant of the snow.

I don't recommend this vacation rental

Rating Details: I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. I was more than happy with the location. The vacation rental was clean. The property manager was adequately helpful. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We felt there was plenty of room for all of us, except the kitchen-which was tight quarters. We liked the mud room. It was nice to have a place for boots, ski's, etc. But we did not like the steep stairs. Since we did not have garage access, it make it very difficult to carry heavy luggage & food up & down the stairs. We were not aware of this-good thing no one was physically challenged in our group.
