'The room ( junior suite ) was cold as the radiators were not working when we arrived. Reception was informed at about 4,00 pm but nothing improved until several houirs later. Two electric heaters were put in the room and the radiators eventually came on. The 'fault', we weere told, was the room thermostst which was located outside in the hallway (???) and somebody had turned it off. Shame that the management didn't check the room thoroughly prior to our arrival. Otherwise, great room,...

'Gorgeous location. Big room with comfy bed and good bathroom. Cosy bar and we enjoyed a lovely meal. Nice walk into the tiny village for cafe and another pub. Good value. If you’re not a dog person it’s worth noting there were a lot of guests with dogs.'

'Stayed as a solo traveller for one night for a quick visit to Whitby. Staff were very friendly on the phone when I called to firm up arrangements, and same when greeting me when I arrived. Good amount of private parking available. I arrived at 11:30am before chicken in (3pm) but no issues using the car park while I explored the town. When I did check in, I found the room clean and comfortable. The decor may be a little dated but it was perfect for my needs. Bathroom looked fairly new and...

'Furniture and fittings very antiquated. Bedding very old and worn, bed linen did not look clean and fresh. Bathroom shower looks as if mould growing around base, not hot water to the basin, towels very worn and ruff. Breakfast very poor, left on landing to help yourself, cereal and fruit only not worth the payment charged. Parking not easy and very limited particularly for the larger car. Expedia stated only one room left that clearly was not the situation. Definitely not value for money.'
