Great beach cottage

The cottage was great, plenty of space for my wife and I to stay with our 4-month old and German Shepard mix. I grew up in North Kingstown and we stayed in the cottage for a 5 day weekend to visit my family while still having our own space for quiet time. After check in, my wife and I took a look through the welcome binder and I was pleased to find that I agreed with almost all of the hosts' recommendations for restaurants and things to d. The only ones I didn't agree with were the places I hadn't been yet.The fenced backyard was great for playtime with our dog, and the quiet neighborhood is an excellent location to take our dog for a walk.The two beaches in the neighborhood are a short walk away, and the outdoor shower (which has hot water!) was really handy after coming back from a morning walk on the beach.A couple low spots in the ceilings probably wouldn't be ideal if you're over 6 feet tall, but that was nothing that myself or my wife had to worry about. The kitchen is well set up for almost anything you'd need, and the air conditioning worked perfectly to keep us comfortable.

Perfect Location

From the minute we saw the cottage we knew it was going to be a great vacation. The property and cottage are well maintained with inviting flowers adorning the entrance. It was close to everything we wanted to do. We explored Providence (30 minute ride) and had amazing food at their Little Italy section, and pastries to die for. An evening enjoying dinner on the water and watching the sunset in Jamestown was lovely. Everywhere is dog friendly and even though we didn't bring ours it is great to know for the next time we come on vacation! Views from both beach areas close to the cottage are spectacular.

Attention to details & total comfort

So grateful for the added support when plans changed with my daughter’s ACL surgery. Nyree and Brian researched accessible areas to allow my whole family to enjoy restaurants and outings. Their home was so comfortable and well-stocked. The neighborhood was quiet and allowed us to push the wheelchair for walks. We loved the kayak, and my daughter was able to read her book in her wheelchair. There were easy steps so that she could use her crutches to get in and out of the house. Being sensitive to the humidity, the air conditioning was perfect. The attention to decor and the beautiful flowers gave us sunshine on a rainy day. Thank you for a wonderful stay. Girls weekend

My friends and I enjoyed this cottage immensely. It is very apparent that Nyree takes a great deal of pride in her home and in the furnishings of it. We were so impressed with the furnishings (So much, that I stopped at the furniture store that she purchased the dining room table at and bought one for myself) and the extras available for our use such as a wagon and chairs to haul stuff to the beach. Having the outdoor shower, which was such a special treat and the smokeless fire pit and the Adirondack chairs provided us so much comfort in our stay. While we were there, we experienced an issue and contacted Nyree. Not only did she immediately send someone over, but she promptly refunded my account without me asking. These are the type of people that I want to do business with! You won’t be disappointed and I highly recommend that you stay here in North Kingstown!

The cottage was lovely and easily accommodated our family of 4. We could explore area towns (most a short distance) and return for a lovely evening. The neighborhood was quiet and made for a beautiful location to enjoy a walk along the water. The hosts provide a book of suggested restaurants, activities, etc and they were spot on. Adorable Cape Cod close to URI and Newport. Clean and well appointed. Owners were very easy to communicate with and helpful. The only suggestion I would have is to ask for additional blankets for the bedrooms if you are staying off season.

Family time

This was an awesome getaway weekend in a beautifully decorated beach cottage! We chose this home because it was close to the college we were setting our daughter up in during our stay. However, this home offered so much more. The hosts were awesome from day one! We were highly impressed with updated appliances, water filtration system, attention to details while decorating while supporting local businesses was top notch! We also loved the variety of K-Cups offered for our morning coffee! The neighborhood was quiet and the home is within close proximity to two small local beaches. Everyone waved to one another in the town and the neighbors loved our dogs as well. This cottage is a true gem! Nyree and Brian were perfect hosts! We cannot wait to go back!

Cozy cottage/great location

The cottage is as advertised. Clean and cozy, but with living room and sun room there is plenty of sitting area. The kitchen has all appliances & equipment needed for those who like to cook in. The back yard is fenced in with chairs and firepit. Great for morning coffee or evening with family around fire. Quick walk to local beaches and a good central location for Wickford, Newport and Narragansett activities. Family had a great time and thanked me for finding a great place to stay!

Beautiful and very clean! It’s a bright and cheerful little cottage. The design and amenities were top-notch. They thought of everything and communicated well. We thought the property was great. All the little touches made a difference. We used their homemade guide a lot to find restaurants, beaches and activities. It had everything we needed. The only thing i would change are the check in/out times. 4pm seems a little late and 10am a little early. Overall a great stay. We would recommend!

Perfect Cottage by the Sea

This property was the epitome of a "cottage by the sea". It is beautifully decorated and has a very homey, relaxing atmosphere. It is centrally located to all the sights and things to do in Rhode Island. The owners are wonderful and let us know about things to do during our stay, and places to go which was extremely helpful, since it was our first time in RI.

Wonderful beach cottage!

We had a great stay! The cottage was clean and well thought out. Nice appliances in the kitchen with plenty of cookware; large refrigerator; plenty of prep and storage space. Multiple tables and seating areas. Comfortable beds especially the main/master bdrm with a queen size sleep number. We didn’t get a chance to enjoy the outdoor areas but nice picnic table on a patio just outside back door next to bbq grill and a fire pit out in the yard with Adirondack chairs. Back yard nicely fenced in if you have a dog or children. Friendly and quiet neighborhood with two beach options in a short walk from the house. The hosts were great with communication and addressing our questions. Also the area seemed to be within 20 mins to so many attractions and easy commuting. We had a great time and will definitely consider renting the house again for future visits!

A gem on Buena Vista in Wickford

A wonderfully updated and quaint cottage by the sea. Enjoyed proximity to Wickford Villiage, Narragansett and Newport. Lovely neighborhood for walks with friendly neighbors. We really enjoyed staying for a long weekend.
