'The Gillen House is a perfect destination if you are looking for a relaxing and peaceful getaway that is close to Athens and not too far away from Atlanta. The hosts, Edward and Cynzia, were very welcoming and made us feel at home. The food at breakfast was excellent. Especially the steaks and sides that we had for dinner on our arrival evening. 'No pool! Even though it is listen in the description the pool has been broken for years & the guy at the front desk said “there have been lots of people very upset to find out the pool is broken”. The room was somewhat clean, but the towels smelled like dirty feet & the fridge in our room was broken. There is NO pool/NO spa.'
