'We enjoyed our time in Norfolk! The cottage was a short walk to the beach where we spent most of our time. The cottage was equipped with everything we needed for our stay. The hosts were available to answer any questions we had. The upstairs area was a great place for our 3 children to spend some time relaxing.'

'If you’re looking for a place for you to have a safe space with your family, young or old, with all the amenities that you would want from your own home this is it. If you’re a veteran, there’s multitude of bases nearby with commissary’s to get groceries for the week to help the budget. '

'Loved this location. Right next to state park and just across the street was access to beach. The street is busy, just have to be careful and patient. The side we stayed on had 3 big bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths. Make sure to bring paper towels, toilet paper, dish soap, hand soap and garbage bags. It was very clean and a very cute cottage. We loved our stay there.'

'As the listing describes, this is an older house that has some updating needed. It was decently clean (there was a lot of stained carpets and such, but we were expecting that from the listing description). It didn't smell and we didn't see any bugs. The beds were comfy, the location was nearby everything we were visiting and it was on the beach. There were a few issues we had when we got there and they were resolved quickly. 'The home had so many great features, including the outdoor shower, a fully stocked kitchen, and fun family games to enjoy in the evenings. The neighborhood had a great vibe with plenty of walkable options, yet the house still felt quaint and tucked away from the hustle and bustle. We loved every part of our stay!'

'We loved staying at Sandy Mutts ! Communication was great , location and access to the beach was convenient and perfect as well. We only stayed for a couple of nights but it was just what we needed. We brought our chihuahua and kitty along and they were comfortable and happy. We did bring our own towels and it worked for us. I will definitely be coming back. '

'Wonderful owners with phenomenal communication. They were very patient and super responsive to messages. They went above and beyond to make us comfortable. Property had everything we needed and more and was steps from the ocean. The beach itself was private and not crowded at all. This was our 2nd time staying and will definitely not be our last.'

'It’s on a busy road, but the yard is fenced. The easy walk to the beach was very nice. The heat worked great, which was good, because it was a cold weekend!'

"This is a reasonable hotel in terms of price/quality ratio. The location is almost at the end of the boardwalk but the Virginia Beach shuttle stops right outside. The staff is very friendly and helpful, there were some things that were not right, when we arrived the indoor pool was not open, both washing machines were out of order (there were 4 brand new dryers in operation) and the sliding door to the balcony in our room we could only open by using a lot of force. We had a balcony with sea view on a high floor and the view was fantastic."
