'When I turned on the iron to iron clothes the whole room went dark. Electricity stopped working. Just not to impressed.'

'This was one of the worst places I have stayed in my over 50 years. I wasn’t expecting much but I do at least want clean and comfortable. We walked in and our room just reeked ! I dropped the key and it went under the dresser, went to get it and just filthy . Needless to say we didn’t go barefoot . Mattress was stained, bath mat was stained, tub was gross, furniture looked in pretty rough shape , no place to plug in phone near the bed … we would have left if everything around was not booked...

'We enjoyed our stay at Cascade Lodge on the North Shore of Lake Superior. We booked a room in the lodge with a view of the lake and were pleased. It was an excellent location to see all the water falls from Gooseberry State Park, Tettegouche State Park, Cascade State Park and Grand Portage, and to visit the Split Rock Lighthouse. We also spent some time in Grand Marais. The staff at the lodge was very informative and helpful. The Cascade Restaurant also has both good food and a friendly...

'The price of the hotel was ridiculous. Over 300$. I was expecting a really nice place. Don't get me wrong. It was clean and modern. We had two rooms and both had pieces of the bathroom that were falling off. And had to fix a toilet and one of the toilet seats was really loose and pinched skin. The beds were very comfy! The breakfast was the bomb....So so good. The staff was amazing and very accommodating and super friendly. The only reason I give it 3 stars is the price. Way way to over priced....

'The hotel and room was very clean. The staff accommodated me to have first floor room. I do wish hotels would use taller toilets. Also pillows were way to soft but made do with more. The only thing that really turned me off was as a 20 year old calling me honey. I’m not a honey and they do not call men that. I would stay again.'
