'Clean, quiet room, comfortable beds'

'Clean, quiet, near everything but off the busy road. Would stay again. A few weird things though: the tiny fridges have no tiny freezer, so I couldn't refreeze my ice packs; vending machines were all removed, so they're selling drinks out of a fridge behind the check in desk only when it's open; nothing in the rooms: no phone, no brochures, no kleenex, no wifi instructions, had to ask for washcloths. Excellent stay if you're independent.'

'Old, but neat. Small, but cute. Very friendly and helpful manager. Very reasonable price. Window AC unit was old and did not work well. We were immediately moved to a slightly larger room where the AC worked well. Manager said they were gradually replacing the AC units. This is a motel. Just a place to sleep. Felt safe, but right on a main road. Would prefer to see a deadbolt added rather than just a door lock.'

'Loved our stay over the 4th of July. Very clean pool area and all the grounds. Nice view of Lake Michigan from our room and the bridge from the front where we sat on the Adirondack chairs. Helpful staff when our TV was not working properly. Highly recommend and would stay there again if we return.'

'The staff were very friendly. However, the front desk does not stay open at night. Normally that wouldn’t be a big deal but I had to reset my room key after each use. Luckily, we didn’t lose one and we kept asking the staff to reset it so we always at least one key that would work. Our friends were in another room and never had a key issues so it was just our room 220. Rooms were clean. Location is great, especially for the ferry and shopping. Check in and check out and easy.'

'They are cute little cottages on Long Lake north of Alpena. Very clean and friendly! Nothing fancy just simple way of life. You can bring your boat and dock it, fish and/or have a bonfire. 🔥'
