Excellent rapport qualité prix
L’hôtel a un très bon rapport qualité prix. Donc ne pas s’attendre à un hôtel de luxe, les chambre sont très petites mais bien agencées, les commodités sur le palier et les cloisons fines. Néanmoins l’endroit est très propre, le personnel très gentil, et super bien situé. Possibilité de faire tout à pied si on est un bon marcheur.

Pratique mais chambre très petite. Il n’y a que deux toilettes et deux douches par étage, pour des étages d’une centaine de chambres. Aucune partie commune accessible et le rooftop était en travaux. Les ouvriers venaient d’ailleurs se laver dans les douches communes de notre étage… On est quand même satisfaits de notre choix même si ça fait cher la nuit comparé à d’autres endroits, c’est sûrement l’un des meilleurs rapports qualité/prix de Manhattan…

Pire qu une auberge de jeunesse
Je pense qu une auberge de jeunesse est mieux que cet « hotel » mise a part son emplacement ideal le reste était un calvaire meme pas de place pour les valises , la chambre les couloirs sdb sale enfin je ne recommande pas du tout ! Le prix est exorbitant vous trouvez des dortoirs a 20/30$ sur NYC la vous puez 110 pour une horreur

bon rapport qualité prix mais petite chambre
Hôtel très pratique à proximité de high Line , Chealsy Market au bord du Hudson facile pour rejoindre battery Park... Très bon prix , bon accueil. Seul point négatif , la taille des chambre ( 6 à 7 m2) Les wc et salle de bain sont commune mais très bien entretenues. Par contre il vaut mieux se lever tôt pour ne pas faire la queue

This property is currently under renovation. While they notify customers to expect noise during construction hours, they do not share the fact that the entire building is a full on construction zone, including directly outside the rooms and in the hallways. There are many awful smells related to the construction permeating the building, It is absurd that the place is still charging customers full price during a time the hotel should simply be shut down. Avoid if you can!

The term “you get what you pay for” has never been more true. The entire hotel was under constrution, you you have to enter through the basement. There are tarps and temporary lights everywhere. The room was so small that I thought I was on a train. The bathroom, down the hall, was clean but in the morning it was a little hectic with morning attitude. No one was happy to be there. I was there for 3 nights and my room was never cleaned and my bed never made. Thankfully, there was no construction noises and the hotels location was perfection. Just go in expecting the bare minimum.

This property is currently undergoing major restoration, which I didn’t know when I booked but they did tell me before I arrived. But the extent of the works is unbelievable. The lifts don’t work, there is one shared bathroom on my floor and everything is dusty. The email said works would be strictly 8-4, but this was not the case. There’s no amenities, not even bottles of water. It was fine but It is not worth $170usd per night.

After you pay for your room, they let you know the property is under construction. The Entire property. Look, the staff are good and the rooms are what you expect for old sailors quarters. It’s kinda cool. But the pics of the common spaces to lure you into thinking you’re staying in a very unique, bohemian hotel are gone. All floors including the lobby are completely decimated. Construction starts at 7am. And it’s full on jackhammers and drills while you’re sleeping. The hotel shouldn’t be in operation. It’s a bit of a con job by the new ownership. But hey, if none of that bothers you, go for it.

I knew coming in that The Jane was undergoing renovations. And I got an amazing price. The staff was very attentive. The room was quite cozy and the shared bathrooms spotless. I can’t wait to see what The Jane will look like after the renovations. Again, the staff were sooooo great and I got huge value from staying here.

I love The Jane and have stayed here many times over the last decade. However, the on-going construction with workers crowding the elevators and stairways, along with most of the building in transition made it more challenging to enjoy this time.

I was informed AFTER I booked my stay that the hotel was being renovated. Rebuilt is more descriptive. Dust, plastic sheeting, noise and finally a renegade fire alarm. Never again!

At the price of $100-120 per night, this was at best a 2.5 star experience. The hotel was in active construction during our stay, which the Jane did inform us about after the booking was made, but the extent of the construction was much more than I expected - the lobby was very spare and dusty, the elevator was operational but the stairs were blocked off, and construction workers used the same bathrooms as the guests. The bunk bed room was extremely tight and cramped (basically the size of a closet), which is too small for a space for two people to put down their belongings. The bedding was clean and towels were provided, but the bunk bed felt shaky and unstable and it was difficult to climb up/down from the top bunk. This would have been worth it only if it had been $50/night rather than $100 per night.

It smells like pee in the hall. It is literally under construction with blocks and plastic wrap in parts of the halls and the lobby! At 11:30pm suddenly started a terrible noise of clanking metal for over an hour!!!. The room is the size of a 1.5 twin beds and I just hope it didn’t have some bug infestation. It was terrible! If you have any other choice, book elsewhere.

We knew the property would be under renovation while we were there. They are pretty significant renovations, but they are confined to daytime hours and our room and the bathroom themselves were just as we expected them to be. The bunk bed rooms are tiny, but serviceable for two people so long as you don't have really large suitcases. And the community bathrooms were well-maintained. I'd definitely suggest bringing shower shoes.
