In vergelijking met Europese Hilton - en ook Doubletree - hotels waar ik heb eerder (zakelijk) heb verbleven (o.a. München, Zurich, Barcelona, Madrid), was de kwaliteit van het interieur en afwerking van kamer en badkamer ondermaats. Zeker niet van de kwaliteit die ik verwacht bij het merk Hilton en dit prijsniveau. Een 4-sterren hotel met een douchegordijn, enkel een douche in het bad en een slechte kwaliteit koffiemachine op de kamer kan echt niet meer. Nespresso zou een prima oplossing zijn. Daarnaast een iets te luidruchtige airco en mijn partner stoorde zich nogal aan het bijgeluid van de liften dat hoorbaar was op onze kamer. Positief was de centrale ligging en de ruime kamer (31m2) en de vriendelijkheid/beleefdheid van het personeel.

The only reason I didn’t give the property an X-Men on everything is because the 42nd St. entrance and exit was closed because of remodeling so I was only stuck with leaving out of 41st St. exit which was an inconvenience

Front entrance was under construction, so we had to enter through the back way…not the prettiest of entry ways…NYC rift raft hanging about. Sitting on sidewalks and entry way. Fire alarm was triggered and rang for HOURS. They were unable to turn it off for some reason. Daily non refundable $40 surcharge gives you a $35 “credit” that forces you to buy at their snack and coffee bar. Room and hallway smelled of constant weed. Got locked out of our room on 2nd day due to key fob battery needing a change. Just overall not a high class stay or feel.

I’ll be providing my review based on what’s available to be rated. Starting with the rooms; as a Hilton Hotel the room was mediocre and basic although we opted in for deluxe. The toilet seat was loose, the beds were ok, the view was supposed to be of Times Square and well by foto you can barely see anything to Times Square. The a/c unit was louder than the tv at its loudest point and you can hear every time someone flushed the toiled. Elevators also opened incredibly slow. On service; this hotel doesn’t have a grand entrance that makes you say “wow I’m staying at a Hilton” the people in the front looked like they had been working long hours and tired. We were not greeted at all. We had to figure out which way to go. Arriving at the lobby no real direction either. You have to pass thru the middle of whoever is standing in line to then fall into the waiting line. Terrible set up! Ok great you give a credit to be used at the bar but there’s gratuity included which automatically put you over your credit and those serving could care less if they get to you or greet you in a welcoming manner or much less suggest anything to drink. Why because well their tips are secured.

Super rip off. We were given $35.00 comp , use or lose. Breakfast : $49.99/ person 7.50 gratuity 4.50 tax=$62.00-comp $35 = $27.00 for one person. COMP IS ONLY $35 per room. If you don’t want to have breakfast, you can use it for their Market . 3-4 items = $35.00 It took 4 attempts just to get coffee pods refill and yet nobody came. Staff seemed irritated while doing there job.

Entrance we had to use was horrible and unsafe. Had only two elevators up to temp lobby level. Limited to no food service. property charges a $40 / day urban charge we had to spend daily but no restaurant or bar open. Had to use to buy junk at a cart near front desk. Hilton can do better. Room was ok except for bathroom ceiling was peeling off. Again Hilton should do better. Wish I was informed about all this when I reserved property but was not until I checked in.

The tub had backed up water, the curtains were torn, and the blanket on the bed had cigarette burns on them. When the front desk was informed, all they did was bring one new blanket. I expected better from not just a Hilton brand but also one in times square.

This hotel is located in Time square, great location, in middle of everything. However the hotel is going through renovation, only one elevator is working. There restaurent is not partically working. The entry of the hotel is terrible, if you are not looking closely, you will pass it by.

Hotel lobby and Common areas are under construction but that is not mentioned anywhere at the time of the booking. Front desk staff was ok but it was extremely busy and only 1 maybe 2 pop up counters were open. George at the time of the check in was helpful however another lady was rude and did not seem to care when I called because it was extremely loud with construction taking place at 5:30am. I’ll avoid this place moving forward. For $400 a night you can get much better hotel in this area.

The location is great , but they don’t offer parking. Some of the staffs are great but some no, breakfast didn’t have much options , I should add that hotel was under construction and we wait for elevator every single time.

Positief: Netheid, staat van de accommodatie en faciliteiten
Negatief: Personeel en service
Personnel très désagréable, hormis le personnel en charge du ménage et des bagages. Le "petit déjeuner" est une grosse arnaque, à ne surtout pas prendre. Les chambres sont très confortables et l'emplacement parfait pour les balades.
