* Roberts (a grocery store) and Walgreens drugstore are located on the corner of S. Carrollton Ave and S. Claiborne Ave (a quick drive or street car ride away). * If you choose to drive to the Cottage there is convenient off street parking available.
* Don’t want to drive around the city? Leave your car parked and jump on the St. Charles Ave. streetcar line to get to downtown, Audubon Park, the French Quarter, the Convention area and Bourbon Street. Uber and Cab services can also provide quick access to much of the city within minutes.
* Several restaurants and bars are within walking distance (Boucherie, Bourree, Lebanon Café, Thai Mint, Panchita's, Pho Bistro, Oak Wine Bar, Ale, Jacques Imo's, Chiba, Ninja). It was a nice place and worked out perfectly. The decor was clean and elegant and was within easy walking distance of various places I was going. I didn’t use the kitchen or living room much but it was good to have them available. It’d be perfect for two people.

Wonderful stand alone cottage in a very nice part of New Orleans. Weekend visit with my daughter/Tulane student. Close to campus, restaurants, and the street car. Host Matt was very easy to reach, responsive and helpful.

Private little house in a nice historic area

Great little house that was everything we needed for our stay. Living room kitchen bedroom bathroom. Parking space. Clean. Water always hot, temperature in unit comfortable, two air conditioning units. Got cold at night in there but there was a space heater that worked well. Couldn’t tell exactly where it was located before booking but let me assure you it is an excellent location just off Carrollton in a historic area and the streetcar line is very close. Interaction with owner all by vrbo messages and that covered all our communication needs. If it’s big enough for you, you can’t go wrong, there’s nothing negative to say about the experience.

We loved this place. It was the perfect location for us, it was so central to everything. We were within 15 min of wherever we wanted to go. The house is so quaint and beautiful, full of character. The on street parking was plentiful but we used their private driveway to park. Check in and check out was super simple. We were there for Taylor Swift, so it was a busy weekend.

Great uptown cottage

Comfortable one-bedroom cottage with a private back yard, right on the streetcar line. Safe neighborhood, great location walking distance to multiple restaurants, bars, music venues. Carrollton is a quiet, residential area close to Tulane and Loyola Universities. If you're looking for the madness of the French Quarter this isn't for you, BUT the madness is only a scenic streetcar ride away! I'd definitely stay there again.

Carrollton Cottage

My wife and I had a wonderful weekend at the cottage. It’s a great location as mentioned a half a block from the St. Charles trolley line and a couple blocks from Oak St. with plenty of restaurants and a small but efficient grocery near by. The cottage was very clean and comfortable with a nice sitting area in the back. We had an issue with the hot water that was addressed immediately with a new water heater. Needless to say we were impressed with the owners response time. Thanks again for a great weekend!

Great Location in NOLA

The cottage is sizeable, comfortable, clean and definitely private. We would definitely stay there with our two teen children on the pull-out queen if we return to NOLA. The location is great! We used the streetcar daily, but also walked to other neighborhoods from the cottage. There are restaurants, cafes, and a full grocery all with in 2-4 blocks. Matt is an accommodating and available host should you have questions or needs.

We keep coming back to this great cottage

This is the third time we have stayed here. Obviously we love it. It is in a neighborhood away from the tourist areas but near to restaurants, shops etc. The bed is great, the living area very comfortable. The kitchen is complete and the bathroom very nice. Nearby Panola Cafe is great for breakfast or lunch. Brightsen’s is a fabulous place for dinner. Audubon Park is very close and the streetcar is less than 150’ away. We will be back for a fourth stay soon.

This cottage is well located with parking. The cottage is limited to 2 guests. The cottage is nice. However, the kitchen is very small and makes it hard to cook.

Second stay was as good as the first

We stayed at the cottage for the second year in a row. It is still a gem in a great area away from the craziness that is sometimes New Orleans. It is comfortable and as advertised. Near great places to eat and (especially if you have a car) convenient to places to visit.
