'We had a fantastic stay at the Bear’s Den for Labor Day week/end 2025. The owners have done a wonderful job of making this a fantastic up north getaway in the woods. It was so peaceful and relaxing while also having all you need in terms of modern amenities. There were 7 of us plus a dog and we were all cozy and comfortable. You need to plan around the ferry for coming and going but we thought that added to the adventure and the kids loved it. Highly recommend. My parents already want to come...

'My partner, dog and I came to sugar island to experience a new place in the UP and we will certainly be returning to Sweet Retreat!! Sheri and Jeff were the most accommodating of hosts and truly go above and beyond to ensure everyone’s comfort and fun. We used the bikes on the property and were lucky enough to take a pontoon cruise with the hosts our last night. The cabin was absolutely adorable and had everything we needed. I couldn’t recommend staying here enough! We can’t wait to come back!'

'Very cute and comfortable cabin. Very easy to check in and the owners on site are extremely nice. Great location to launch your kayak or boat into Les Cheneaux Islands. I was very comfortable there as a single person, but it is a great spot for families and couples. Definitely try to eat at the Les Cheanux cooking school restaurant. The kayak tour with Woods & Water was well worth it day 1 and on day 2 I took out my own kayak. The only kitchen appliance I used was the refrigerator, but...
