« Lovely place to stay and staff were so welcoming and helpful. We enjoyd the hearty breakfast. The location is great to travel by train in to Cardiff city centre. We will return and hopefully arrive earlier to fit in an evening meal - menu looked good. »

« A lovely old-fashioned hotel in a stunning setting. Comfortable, clean, cozy. On arrival we were surprised to find nobody there even though we'd waited for reception opening time. Our keys were in a plastic bag pinned to a cork board. Explanations were confusing. Breakfast was an epic adventure. The gas stove had broken down and a tremendous effort was made by staff to provide us with a very good Welsh breakfast that was well worth waiting nearly an hour for. « Good hotel, bed are confortable. Restaurant for the diner is good too. The breakfast needs to be improved. I should be able to select what I would like to eat & toast my breads myself. I lost 2 times more than 10 min in the morning to order & get what I want »

« We had a fantastic stay at the butchers arms. They were very friendly and helpful. We had a problem with another hotel and Andrew and his team couldn’t do enough for us. What a lovely place to stay. Very clean place. Bed was super comfy had a fantastic nights sleep. We will definitely stay again if in the area. « Our room was excellent - recently decorated with good facilities - our only problem was with the shower (no instructions). We had an evening meal which was very well presented. No breakfast available but there are coffee shops and cafes in the village. The staff were very helpful. We would happily stay here again. »
