Three bedrooms, one bath cottage with the classic outdoor shower. This is what vacations are about, family time, simplicity, in an atmosphere of beauty and peace. Master bedroom has windows on three sides and bay views looking through rose hip bushes. Our children's favorite sunroom has 3 sides of windows that have the water views. The guest room is quaint with horseshoe crabs painted on the bed by a local artist. Cook delicious meals in our fully stocked original kitchen. A private outside shower under a big tree makes showering and rinsing off the sand fun. Enjoy meals outside under an umbrella on our wood deck while looking at sailboats in the bay. Just a short walk to out neighbors flagpole, our shared access path takes you down the wooden steps to a private Pocomo beach. Calm water is perfect for young children to play on the beach all day long. Catch tiny minnows, float around the refreshing bay water or go for a long swim. We are 8 miles or 20 minutes from town, and 15 minutes from Siasconset market. We are away from the hustle and bustle of town, minutes from the bike path and bus stop. Wauwinet Resort is just down the street ($2,000 a night). This is truly paradise with your family. The old local gas man described our cottage as the "last of the Mohicans". Our home has been in our family for over 50 years and has many of its original charms. Memories are made here and the quintessential Nantucket experience is what our cottage is all about.
