'We loved, loved, loved Kaivalayam! The room, the staff, the views, the vibe, the yoga, the treatments. It's a wonderful place to just retreat from the busy wonderful chaos that is India. We were really able to relax here the last couple of days of our trip. The in-house Ayurvedic doctor and team do a great job in providing wonderful treatments and also the kitchen staff cooks up the most delicious and nourishing dishes! Highly recommended for when in Munnar.'

'Charming, eco-friendly, very quiet place. Excellent food, attentive service. This is an ideal place to unwind, enjoy nature, meditate and be at peace. Cottages require a bit of a rugged, steep walk as they are hewn into the cliff - but then you are rewarded with great view over the Ghat mountains'

'Excellent location (secluded and beautiful views). Big rooms and nice balcony. Very friendly staff. Pool was a nice plus. Breakfast was really good but evening a la cart was barely ok unfortunately. All in all, if you have lunch somewhere else (in your day excursions) the very uninspiring dinner is worth it given that all else is great with this place. '

'It was an excellent hotel located in the outskirts of Munnar. The staff were accommodating and welcoming. The restaurant was excellent. We had many choices for the complementary breakfast. Dinner and lunch options were reasonably priced. Good complementary activities were available. Next time I will definitely go for a longer stay.'

'We booked this hotel for 1 night stay over New year’s eve. Found there was a disconnect between Expedia booking and the hotel reservations. Expedia booking was confirmed but when I called hotel to make a room request they did not recieve any email or confirmation from Expedia. After many phone calls to Expedia and the hotel the issue was sorted. The issue was with hotel’s reservation system. Also the hotel photo shown on Expedia is different to that of the actual hotel. 'A fabulous mountain retreat set between forests and tea gardens. Beautifully maintained lawns with great vistas. Loved our stay. However due to road washouts from 2018 floods, almost impossible to get to. A miracle we found our way. But well worth the journey!'
