Best part was the host, Jon was incredibly kind and accommodating. We had some major issues with our airline which led us to almost miss our reservation. « I stayed here when I spent a few days in Bilbao after a running trip in the Picos. The apartment included everything I needed for a great stay: comfortable bed, warm shower, kitchen supplies, etc. The location is good. About 800 meters from historic buildings, all the bars and restaurants of old town, and the open air market. Bilbao is a nice walkable city, with excellent public transit, so getting to the Guggenheim and other attractions is easy. I walked there so I could admire the scenery...

« Dit huis is zelfs beter dan de beschrijving en foto's doen vermoeden. Wij verbleven met twee gezinnen en hadden vier keurige slaapvertrekken en dito saniraire voorzieningen. De ontvangst was allerhartelijkst met een duidelijke uitleg van huis en omgeving. Bij vragen was eigenaar enthousiast om een oplossing aan te dragen. Dank Pedro! »

« Maison très spacieuse et parfaitement située pour visiter le pays basque. Proche de la mer et des grandes villes (Gernika, Bilbao). La maison est très propre, bien emménagée et on peut se garer juste à côté. Le propriétaire est très réactif et répond à chaque question. Je recommande ! »

Lack of any fans--overhead or stand-- compounded the discomfort. Lots of street noise until about 2 AM made opening windows problematic. Also, mosquitos entered thru open courtyard windows, unscreened. Dryer slow. Lacked expresso cups despite 3 expresso making devices. Parking 2 blocks away unusual and unexpected. « The home is lovely, it’s well appointed and so clean! The owner, Jon, went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. There was even a spread of fruits, muffins, teas and milk! He and his son helped us with our luggage. We’d been traveling in Spain for a month and were looking for a spot near the Bilbao airport for our early flight-really wish we’d have been able to spend more than one night there! We will be back to explore this beautiful part of the country and stay in this apartment again! »
