'Was a little hard to get to driving in and accessing the cabin, wasn’t expecting that, but made due with a longer walk around the “mountain” by the cabin in front the pond. The location of the cabin is wonderful and has a personal gazebo style place to sit and relax or can enjoy the hot tub or a camp fire. The people we met were so nice and friendly!! 'Perfectly secluded (no 4WD needed) cozy cabin just 15 minutes from takeout/grocery/Walmart. On site hiking trails with beautiful views, spacious porch swing to enjoy sunrise/sunset, farm fresh eggs, and wonderful hosts. '

'Beautifully kept property, inside and out, with views of the Smokies that were unparalleled anywhere else we’ve stayed in the past. The host was very accommodating and friendly, and our family of 4 enjoyed the peace and quiet offered here. I loved the German aesthetic in the cabin, and we all enjoyed the outdoor space the gazebo offered as well. Be prepared to trek up some unpaved roads to get back to the cabin, but it’s well worth it! '

'The Rustic Mountain Retreat is a small, cute cabin with an amazing view off the deck. My husband and I went for our 10 year wedding anniversary and it was perfect for the two of us. The hot tub isn’t super private as there is the Wilderness cabin drive rite by the fire pit for this cabin, but it still feels private enough. 'My boyfriend, myself and our dog had the absolute best time here!! We loved the view from the hot tub, the cozy fireplace inside for a more relaxing evening or the outdoor fire pit to roast marshmallows and hot dogs! We cannot wait to make another trip back! The boat dock is quite the walk from the cabin so if a person brought their golf cart that would be ideal. '

'Perfect location for our needs this trip. Great property. Medical note: the bathroom is downstairs and the bedroom is upstairs. So elderly or arthritic guests will need to exercise care during nighttime bathroom visits. We are both, but we managed. Don’t let it discourage you from enjoying this property. Just fyi.'

'Our 6 day visit was very enjoyable. The host is nice and responded to our request for additional garbage bags right away; we were pleasantly surprised. The cabin is very well kept and decorated in such a manner that we felt like we were right at home, with all of the modern day appliances, tasteful home decor, We spent some time swinging on the front porch and relaxed watching the light traffic pass by off the peaceful country road. We would stay here again when we visit with nearby family. '

'Checkin was super easy. Host was very responsive to any questions. The house was beautiful and the lake views were unforgettable! Having our own dock was tons of fun and we loved every minute out on the water and sitting on the screened in porch. House was stocked with everything you could need and more! 'The cabin was adorable. Please keep in mind it is a tiny cabin, so it is very small. If you are a taller person you may struggle with the loft area. I am 5 foot 2 and had no trouble, my husband is 5 foot 10 and he couldn't sit up fully on the bed. This is not a negative on the cabin itself, it is just the nature of the type of cabin and something to keep in mind. Also remember you are in the mountains. The driveway/ road to the cabin is steep and you may have trouble driving up the hill unless...
