La Maison du Verger

The Orchard is part of the outbuildings of the Château de Vérigny which extend over a vast estate composed of gardens, orchards and walled meadows. <br>For a stay in contact with nature in a quiet and preserved environment, let yourself be seduced by the Orchard.<br>Completely renovated and equipped to ensure the best comfort throughout the year, the Verger is a single-storey house that has an exceptional living room of 84 m2 that can accommodate up to 24 seated people. The kitchen, separate from the living room, is fully equipped. On either side of the living room, three bedrooms each with their own bathroom (2 bedrooms with a King size bed (180 x 200) and 1 bedroom with 2 beds (90 x 200). Le Verger has a fibre Internet connection (800 mega) distributed in all rooms. It is perfectly suited to teleworking and families with children (high chair, bathtub and cot available).<br><br>To avoid you having to bring sheets and towels, the beds will be made and household linen provided (towels, dish towels).<br><br>The Orchard overlooks an orchard planted with fruit trees. In front of the house, you will enjoy a large terrace of 300 m2, located to the west, and its fountain. A barbecue, tables and chairs for lunch outside as well as deckchairs are at your disposal on site. There is all the space you want to play bowls, ball, or take long walks along the meadows and woods. Bicycles are also available to follow the small country roads which can also be discovered on foot. <br><br>We draw your attention to the fountain, bordered by a 40 cm high wall, which can present a risk to young children who would be left unattended. <br><br>Although smoking is not allowed in the house, the outdoor areas allow for pleasant smoking.<br><br>Whatever your arrival time, in complete autonomy or not, we can be there to welcome you. Count on our availability to advise you throughout your stay.<br><br>Other information to note<br><br>The outbuildings of the Château de Vérigny are made up of three gîtes: La Maison du Potager and L'Orangerie which share the same access gate and Le Verger which has its own independent access gate. These three gîtes are not opposite each other and are more than 30 metres apart. <br><br>They share a large garden planted with trees and rose bushes. It is possible to rent the whole under the name of the Grand Potager on the site: 3 cottages for a total of 14 people (7 bedrooms / 7 bathrooms).<br><br>In the case of the organization of a reception (lunch, cocktail, etc.) involving a number of people greater than the capacity of the gîte booked, we thank you for letting us know your project. <br><br>Le Verger is located in the village of Vérigny, 15 km from Chartres and 100 km from Paris. The nearest supermarkets are in the villages of Fontaine (5 km) and Châteauneuf (15 km). The town centre of Chartres is pedestrianised and offers many restaurants and shops as well as cultural activities.<br><br>Getting around<br>Located 15 minutes from Chartres, it is easy to visit the old town and its cathedral classified as an UNESCO World Heritage Site.<br>You can also enjoy the L'Odyssée aquatic complex, the largest in France, or visit the exciting zoo refuge La Tanière and its animal farm for the little ones. <br>There is a lot to visit around Vérigny: The castle of Maintenon (25 km), that of Châteaudun (60km), Anet (50km) or Chambord (130km) or even Versailles, (100km) or finally Paris where you can get by train in 1 hour to avoid the hazards of the road.<br><br><br>
