'The location was perfect for seeing Rio Celeste and other rainforest tours. Everyone was really friendly and the food was great. Communication was somewhat interesting because I hadn’t brushed up on my Spanish enough but we made it work! The bed wasn’t super comfortable, shower didn’t get very hot and the walls weren’t exactly soundproof but for the price it was still a good value. I’d definitely stay here again!'

'The hotel owners are exceptional human beings, Yves and Siri are caring and down to earth. The chef Yves cooked some extraordinary meals for us using all organic and natural herbs. 'This is a very unique house in a very quiet and peaceful location. We only visited for 1 night so we did not get to enjoy it as much as we could have. Small miscommunication with our booking but as we went on an evening tour, things were straightened out and all was well by the time we returned. 'Tidy and roomy, but bed was too firm for me and no hot water. It was very difficult for the taxi driver to find the location due to no address, or sign. We finally had to call them for directions. Maria and hubby were very accommodating, but said they couldn't do anything about the lack of hot water until the next day due to needing a part. They acted as taxi drivers to get us to the park and also to La Fortuna, stopping at stores as needed along the way. Super nice! They don't speak English,...

'Amazing family-run hotel. Eric & Cécile do a great job at making their guests feel welcome and at home. Only two rooms on the finca, located a short walk away from Eric & Cécile's own house. 'Heel goed hotel, waarschijnlijk de mooiste, als je daar in die omgeving in Costa Rica moet of wilt zijn. Het hotel is prachtig gelegen en ademt een rustgevende sfeer. In de omgeving is behalve het national parc en het wandelen in de natuur niet heel veel te doen. Het zwembad is goed onderhouden en mooi. Het restaurant is zeker goed maar niet echt goedkoop. De villa's zijn ruim met zowel een mooie douche binnen en ook buiten aan de achterzijde.'

'Very friendly owner of the place. She didn't speak English, but we were able to communicate nevertheless. Breakfast was good. 'The Lodge was spectacular and the staff friendly, professional, and helpful. Within hours of arrival, they knew our names. The room was large, private, clean and very comfortable with a large deck overlooking the rainforest, a huge bathroom and our own private hot tub. We did many activities through the lodge (hiking, yoga, night walk, bird watching tour) and the guides were excellent. The food was delicious and very fresh. Each dish was beautifully plated and generous. 5 stars!'

'Beautiful, serene property. Very nice host and hostess. Loved the waterfall hike. It was the highlight of our trip. We were there by ourselves and could swim. If you’re into exploring and not a resort travel style this place is fabulous. We came here from JW in Guanacaste and loved this more than the resort. Clean and comfy. Breakfast was delicious and tastefully served. Be mindful of the hike though. Not super easy. Hiking shoes , poles and certainly water shoes, towel, and water are a must. '
