Nice get away from home, loved the pool area and proximity to the beach, easily walkable while carrying chairs and coolers. Inside provided a nice living space and kitchen to use throughout the week.
We really enjoyed our stay at Shore Beats Work. The house was located in a nice neighborhood that was a quick walk to the beach. The pool was a great to have as well. There was plenty of room for our family of 6. Great communication with the property management team. The whole area was great and we hope to be back soon!
Property was as expected. Advertised as 1king, 2queens and 2twin. One of the beds was a double instead of a queen. Pool furniture rusty and two chairs broken and dangerous. Dryer did not dry.
The pool was not clean when we arrived. The grill was rusted out and didn't work. The dryer didn't work and they finally replaced it the evening before we left. The location was nice just not what was expected for the money that was charged.
There were multiple issues. Let me first say the rental company. Realjoy was great. But to stay that this was a 5 star property.. not so much. Maybe 3 star. The internet buffered all week. The ac went out and the repair company that came to fix it almost caught the house on fire 2 times. The front deadbolt stopped working. And the front door handle came off in your hand. The kitchen lights would just turn off by themselves. The flooring needs to be replaced in the entire house. The front entryway there is no gutter so if its slightly raining you will get soaked. And there is private beach access. However if you do not read beach chairs included. Bring your own. It a 250 a week fee to rent them. After the issues were taken care of it was a great time. But the picture on your sight are very misleading.
Overall it was nice. There were a few things that need work. The sheets for the king size beds were too small and kept falling off the bed. The vacuum cleaner was broke and we couldnât sweep the rugs and we had an infant that crawls around. The gate code was not given to us and the first night we was told we didnât need one when we called. The next morning we called and someone was able to get us the gate code, then 2 days into vacation they changed the gate code again. The dryer takes almost two hours to dry a small load of laundry. It definitely isnât a 4 minute walk yo the beach as advertised, itâs more like 10 minutes. Other than that it was a very nice place.
The house is very nice. The pool was perfect for our family. The best part was walking to the beach. We were there spring break and we never would have found a parking place. I was surprised how unstocked the house was. The message said it would have enough to get us started and that was absolutely true. Be sure to bring pot holders, kitchen towels, toilet paper, paper towels, salt and pepper, a sponge or rag to wash the dishes, spray for the counters, hand soap, body soap, and all laundry supplies. We went to dollar tree to get some of this for the week. There was a great supply of dishes, silverware and pots and pans. But nothing under the sink but a fire extinguisher. The garage did not have an opener for the car and we were never given a code so basically we did not use it. (We are too old to push the button and run out as it was coming down.) We did have an issue with a blind that fell and we had an immediate response to fix it and they were very concerned about the person that it landed on. A+ for their response. We had a wonderful time but I just wanted to give a heads up to everyone to know what they need to bring so they are not frustrated like we were. I would recommend this reasonable price house close to the beach. Also you need to pay $50 a day more for a heated pool and over $700 for fees.
House was nice and within short walking distance to private beach entrance. Kids really enjoyed the private pool. Only 2 issues we had was there was 2 codes for the gate and it kept changing so never knew which one to use. Other issue was some of the glasses were not clean. Just minor things would stay again.
The house we stayed in was clean and well kept. Not far from the beach and the property managers were easy to contact. They came and fixed the back door quickly when I contacted them about the knob issue. Close to amenities and plenty of food options and grocery stores. However, we stayed here with another family, so theyâre 10 of us. As much as I would love to say this house was perfect for us, I canât. It is a little on the smaller end, but doable. It only has two bathrooms which I overlooked when booking (we need 3 with so many kids) but that no fault of the ownerâs. The pool is small and because itâs small, it stayed really warm. Small enough that the 4 adults only got in it once when we first arrived. I would say this house is more suited comfortably for about 6 people, 8 max. The other and probably biggest issues were- we rented a golf cart for the week to drive to the beach for kids, things, etc. only to find out there was nowhere to park it. Not near the beach access or in the designated spot owned by the community where we were staying thatâs close to the beach access because there were signs that said it was for homeowners only and rentals would be towed. So that was inconvenient and also a waste of money. Also- we got up super early and set up our canopy and such in the morning on the private access only to be told by a chair service when we went back down that we were NOT ALLOWED to set up tents, pop ups, or canopies of any sort on any of the beach access that belonged to our rental. We were not aware or made aware of such prior to booking. We had 7 children, a canopy is necessary and not being permitted to set them up would have been a deciding factor when booking this rental. I was informed the HOA changes their rules frequently which is fine, but again that was pertinent information for our family. Luckily the condos beside our access were mostly empty and we were still able to set up just to the side of our access. Had that not been an option, this would have made for a very unpleasant trip considering we wouldâve had zero shade because itâs not economically sound for a family to have to rent 4/5 sets of umbrellas and chairs from whatever company smothered our beach access. I say all that to say that if you are a large family or family with kids, make sure you ask these questions before you land on this rental. Outside of that, the trip was great and we made it work!
House was even nicer than expected. The home was beautifully decorated. Loved the pool, small but big enough for adults and kids to play. Short walk to the beach.
Recommend that if you are taking chairs, cooler, or larger items to the beach, to have someone drive over to drop off, then walk back to park the car at the house. There's no parking near the beach gate. This is only to let future guests know.
Overall Great Place!!
