The town is close to so many fantastic places such as Penola, Coonawarra wineries, national park and beaches at Southend and Beachport. We weren’t planning to visit Penola but did so when a staff member recommended it and so glad we did.'

'Quiet and peaceful. Rustic charm with almost everything that was required. The cons were that the heating/cooling system was very noisy and drowned out the TV whenever it cut in. The shower was barely adequate due to water pressure and being over the bath entirely unsuitable for elderly or disabled. The mattresses are VERY firm resulting in poor, uncomfortable sleep so we left property a day earlier than planned. Overall, expensive for the amenities provided but if you are looking for a rustic...

'The perfect remedy to stressful life. A couple of nights here and I honestly feel renewed. Sophie is just wonderful, the most warm, thoughtful, welcoming host. Never intrusive and so lovely to have around for beautiful garden walks and chats. Absolutely everything you could want or need is provided. Our 5 year old daughter loved it too. 'Harbor Masters Beachport is a fabulous place to stay for extended family Birthday celebrations! We slept 11 family members in luxury and comfort right by the sea, close enough to hear the waves lapping the shore at night! The beautifully restored building is outstanding, facilities are excellent, both for catering and personal use and the service and support was helpful! All our family thoroughly enjoyed the experience of staying at Harbor Masters Cottage and fully intend to do so again!'
