We always struggle finding somewhere we can stay with our 3 medium sized dogs (bc of weight, too many, breeds) but our dogs were welcomed with no concerns! There was even a fenced off yard so we could let them out from time to time. We were needing a relaxing weekend getaway from our busy city in Fort Worth, TX and that's what we got and more! Chuck and Klara thought of everything, even treats for the dogs! There's a lot to do on the property without having to leave but are close by many things if you decided to venture out. The place was clean, and comfortable. We are so glad to have found a place to bring our dogs and get away from city life. Being an animal sanctuary was a huge bonus because it was so fun to watch all the animals around us! We can't say enough about how great this place is and we cannot wait to make another trip there.

My wife and I stayed in June 2024 and had a wonderful time. Chuck and Klara are attentive hosts, and the cabin and grounds have tons of amenities that have been well thought out. It is clear that the hosts have attempted to anticipated every need and comfort their guests might want, and have sought to provide it for them. While it was great for a relaxing weekend with each other, we are excited about taking our kids in the future. The pool, playground, animals, trails, and so many other things make it the perfect place to get away with your family. Breakfasts far exceeded any expectation that we could have had. Everything was made from scratch and absolutely delicious. I highly recommend that anybody look for some peace and serenity go to Serenity Acres. It's beautiful, conveniently located close to good restaurants and grocery stores, as well as a quick drive to Robber's Cave and multiple outdoor activities. Again, the hosts are amazing. You will not want for anything during your stay. We had an amazing time.

The hosts were incredible! They catered to every need and want. They prepared and served delicious breakfasts every morning and the cabin was an oasis. And finally to be surrounded and being able to interact with all the sweet animals was awesome. We will be back!

If your not use to being loved on your in for a treat! Sometimes it’s hard for me to receive help. The hosts kindness softened me up a little. I’m raising my nephews and every question and request from the kids were answered with joy and happiness to serve! Our dogs are a source of comfort, so to be able to stay in a place where they had two fenced in areas run around. These guys thought of everything. Even the way the fence opened so the dogs could stay blocked in while I carried in our things. Breakfast was wonderful! To have a homemade meal brought to your front door was incredible. The whole place is so peaceful and we slept very well on the beds. Loved it, can’t wait till we can go back.

Beautifully cabin thats fully stocked so no need to even leave...The pool and hot tub are super clean...We stay at alot of cabins and this stay was by far the best ever.. We will always come back to stay with Chuck and Klara! Absolutely the best people in the world and are so giving and kind. We cooked out, enjoyed the pool and had the BEST breakfast cooked by them. They always send us home with eggs too. It’s always hard to leave. Can’t wait to return!

What we didn't expect, the brilliant and utterly enveloping night sky would take third, even forth place in the category of memorable moments of an unforgettable birthday. Chuck and Klara, I cant say anything that hasnt already been repeated about your amazing disposition, your impeccable property, or your absolutely lovely breakfasts, so I'll just take this moment to thank you both. Last year was the most challenging year of our little families life, and coming to your home and sharing just a few moments with you made up for all the time we spent in the valleys of 2022. Thank you for your warmth, your sincerity, thank you for Major and thank you for Toe. I've been lucky to travel the world, to live in foreign lands not just visit, but ive never traveled and found home like I did there with yall. My warmest regard to you both, X

This was in a great location. It is a great place to get away from all stress life offers. We have stayed at several places with VRBO. A few things we loved about Chuck & Klara. First the home cooked breakfast are amazing and a treat! Second the amenities offered were great! From a hot tub to having a stocked kitchen of spices and supplies. We have stayed to where you have to buy salt and pepper just to cook. They have several rescue dogs, chickens, goats etc. This is a place to enjoy nature, unwind and enjoy time as a couple or as a family.

Chuck and Klara are amazing. This experience was magical. There were so many wonderful things that I don’t know where to begin and the made to order breakfast was good down to the last bite. The animals were friendly, enhanced the experience, and made it even better. This is by far the best VRBO experience I’ve ever had in my life. There were so many amenities that I feel like I did not even touch the tip of the iceberg. I NEED to go back. You literally have everything at your fingertips. The hosts are two of the most wonderful people I’ve ever met. They play wonderful music that just enhances the experience further. If this place isn’t on your bucket list - it should be. every minute is a delight - you will not run out of things to do. In every instance of every part of this vacation, you will see the hard work and love that the house put into making this experience perfect for you. You will not be disappointed if you visit this place. At a minimum this place will be an annual tradition for me. I hope that sharing this with you let you know just how wonderful of an experience you will have if you go here. Everything is cleverly outlined, thought of, we’re gonna be handled by your amazing and gracious hosts. Note: every animal there is a rescue and has hearts to match the wonderful hosts. You will be hard-pressed to find an experience that matches this one.

Our stay with Chuck and Klara exceeded our expectations. The personal touches to the home, the homemade daily breakfast to order and the simply gestures of care and concern made us feel like we were at home. We are planning on returning and sharing with friends and family this once in a lifetime experience. We now have friends in McAlester , OK that aided in facilitating a new start to my life! Many thanks to Chuck and Klara for being so welcoming to their property, and making sure we were had a good time during our stay. My kids are 10 and 15, and both had a great time. There are things to do for families with kids of all ages. Lots of reasonably priced extra amenities in the cabin, as well as lots of complimentary items they provide. Everything is explained upon arrival. We used the pool, hot tub, and new zip line. Lots of fun! Lots of animals to watch right across from the cabin. Pen is kept clean. My daughter loved the animals, and the numerous rescue dogs on the property. All we encountered were well behaved. We didnt catch anything in the small pond, but we didnt get a chance to fish the bigger pond we were told about. Maybe next time. The breakfasts they prepared for us were so good! Whatever we wanted, with fresh fruit and orange juice every morning. You can tell they put a lot of thought into everything they do. My daughter wants to live there lol. Definitely a fun get away to remember! Thanks again!
