We had a wonderful winter stay! The house was spotless and very well prepared for our arrival — you can tell the hosts really care about their guests. Check-in was easy, instructions were clear, and communication was quick and helpful. We also really appreciated that the home is pet-friendly. There was plenty to do indoors, so no one was bored; both the kids and the adults had a great time. We’d happily stay again and definitely recommend this place!

Thanksgiving Fun

We had a beautiful snowy Thanksgiving in the Catskills! Everything was as described/pictured. It was the first Vrbo experience for my parents, who are in their 70s, and they loved it. Comfortable, clean, and cozy.

Cute house in a cute town!

We had such a nice time in Margaretville for a long weekend with close friends and family. The property was great for kids to play and us all to spend time together. The kitchen was great for a few at home meals and the fire at night was great for s’mores! The rooms and beds were comfortable and the basement was a great space for us to play board games and hang out together.

Ski trip with friends, important details about the property

Booked this property for a ski/snowboard trip in December. House is as pictured with a few amenities missing. Heating system is also very inconsistent throughout rooms, doesn't increase even if you turn it up. Addressing the main points of the review: 1. Cleanliness: Overall, the property is clean and very presentable. However, there are a plethora of dead bugs in the window sills if you decide to get some fresh air. Noticed limescale in the kettle and a water filter that needed to be changed. 2. Check-in: Check in is very seamless. Host sent email with details that may be different from the listing. For example, the 11am checkout time was changed to 10am. 3. Accuracy: The listing is mostly correct, except the owners may hide or change up a few policies. For example, access to the dryer and washer is only for stays over 2 nights. There is no provided laundry detergent. The basketball court has a deflated ball and broken pump. The pinball machine does not operate. 4. Communication: Communication with host is good enough while on the property. Host responds reasonably quickly, however responses don't always result in a mutual solution. E.g., saying that guests are not provided any kind of detergent because different guests prefer different brands is not a solution. Or if a guest brings up that there's a lot of dead bugs, stating it is a different bug is not a solution. Owners are unwilling to talk after the stay, even through VRBO. 5. Location: Can easily miss the driveway in.

Family ski trip

My family and I had a wonderful time at this beautiful Catskills Getaway Home. The house was exactly as described and pictured, we enjoyed all the amenities. The hot tub on the deck was perfection, just what we needed after a long day of skiing, The downstairs game room was a blast. Everything was perfect for my family of six's annual winter ski trip. Looking forward to returning.

Family Gathering in Catskills.

RE: Catskills Getaway Home W/ Hot tub, Game room, fire pit and basketball court. Please allow me to say that the home and property were just the right setup for our family gathering. The house itself was beautiful and our family enjoyed being together. We received a welcome e-mail indicating that check-in time would be 1 pm and that check-out time would be 11 am. When we arrived the maintenance crew were still there finishing up assuming they had a 4 pm check-in. We were fine with staying out of there way so they could complete their job. We did point out the broken screen doors leading out to the deck before they left. The hot tub was being drained and refilled as we were waiting and we did not notice if it was treated as we waited in the driveway. We were disappointed with the hot tub as after using it once, the next time it was opened it appeared unusable. When we went to check the grill, it was totally unusable, dirty and damaged. We did make contact through VRBO and heard from owner. Being a hot tub owner along with other members owning hot tubs as well, we were somewhat offended that the condition of the hot tub was our fault due to not showering before use. This insinuation was untrue. They did have the maintenance guy come by who treated the hot tub, removed a screen door and offered to replace the grill. As we only had a day and a half left for our visit, we would not need grill replaced. All in all, it was a very relaxing 4 days and very enjoyable to be

Catskills Stay

The house and property were beautiful. Paula was an excellent host and communication was quick and easy. The spaciousness and the game room were great as it rained a good deal of the week but our stay was still thoroughly enjoyable.

Wedding weekend in Catskills

If your travels bring you to the area and this house is available I suggest you book it right away. Our multigenerational family was attending a wedding in the area and all of the other guests complained about their accommodations and we loved ours. We could have stayed in the house all day, but, we did venture out to enjoy the town as well. Watching my parents interact with my teenage kids in the game room or simply sitting around the dining table or couches was priceless.

Great property for families / moderate size groups who enjoy (friendly) competition and outdoor activities. House was as advertised or better - very nice interior with good amenities throughout. Plenty to do inside and outside on the property. Fun local options for food, golf, hiking. Paula is a very responsive / helpful host. Great trip for our group - would highly recommend!

Perfect Ski Condo

My family said the house was gorgeous, very clean and very up-to-date. They loved the house, and they loved staying there. They loved the hot tub. The game room was a big plus. Two king bed rooms were perfect. The owners were very communicative and on top of anything that was not right. They would definitely stay there again. The washer and dryer were listed as amenities; however, my family learned that it was not available for users with only a 2 night stay (weekend). It would have been helpful to know that piece of information ahead of time.
