'There was no one there to check me in upon arrival! A closed sign on the office, pushed the button on there intercom system & all it did was ring, nobody ever answered. I called the phone # to no avail. The next day upon check in I was asked for a $100. deposit, of which I was unaware of. When asked why they were closed when I arrived the previous night the girl at the counter said, “I didn’t work last night”, no accountability was taken! There was mold in the shower & a non working coffee maker...

'This is our second stay at the National Hotel. The property is charming and historic; however, both times, the staff have been unfriendly and seemed bothered by simple requests. We were not alone in the process.'

'Traveling with my brother, who is disabled can be very difficult for us. The lady at the front desk was extremely helpful. Unfortunately this hotel does not offer a 2 queen suite wheelchair accessible with a roll in shower. The first room was not going to work due to it having a tub/shower and they only had 1 shower bench available for guests, that was already being used. She walked with me to look at a few choices. My brother had a hard time getting into the bathroom, it was not handicap...

'The bar was very well stocked and had anything one would want. I was disappointed that this time on Taco Tuesday, they were unable to make me a vegetarian taco like they did last time. I went looking forward to it, and went without dinner. :-/ Luckily, I brought a few snacks. The scones and frittata at breakfast were very nice! Parking is hit or miss.
