'The apartment was very shabby and not overly clean. The tea towels were grubby, a lot of the light bulbs had blown and air con didn’t work. Kitchen very basic with a broken microwave.'

'the owner was very helpful, everything worked well, but address on Google maps is not showing the right house (the house is in the next block), we had to call the owner twice to navigate us. Just one incorrect info in the description of the appartment on Hotels.com - the mattresses are not comfortable (with lazy foam), but standard mattresses. The beds are a bit small for 2 adults, but we managed. Our 2 kids slept together without any problem.'

'The stay was super spacious with a great outdoor covered patio. We were able to make last minute arrangements to stay an extra day when our flights were delayed because of cyclone Freddy. We felt very safe in the home. Location is a short drive to Mahebourg. Didn’t get a chance to enjoy the pool but it certainly looked inviting!'

'Where to start? Alain & Marie were excellent answering all questions before our arrival organising including airport transfers and hire car (essential to get round). The villa is amazing, very clean, and has a very peaceful energy which a great reflection on the owners. The views of the ocean are something to behold l swear. The pool at the back is sheltered from the winds and wonderful to relax in. There’s a gas bbq which we made use of a few times. Kitchen is fully stocked with everything one...

'We would give this 4.5 if we could... The location on the water is amazing and its a really easy walk in to town and a five minute drive to two fantastic beaches. The view and garden is great even if the sea isnt really for swimming in. The hosts were also great and really nice. The only downside is the house is definitely starting to need a little updating... Its a little 'rustic' etc. Still nice though!'
