« We had a great time at The Mac Shak. The house is really well appointed, with lots of helpful information for guests, plus games, dvds, books. The garden is completely enclosed and safe for dogs, our pup loved sniffing around and exploring, and our kids loved toasting marshmallows around the fire. I loved sitting on the deck in the morning, looking out at the trees and listening to the birds. It's a charming little place with lots of character. We would stay here again if we're in the area. »

« The house was just not a comfortable place to stay. Apart from the bedrooms, everything was not as clean as it should be. By the time the shower glass is rusted, (looked dirty) it’s time to replace it! Screen door fell off one hour after arrival. I know it’s meant to be a retro house, but it needs a bit more work on it. »

« A wonderful house with all the necessary modcons but nothing unnecessary. Great location, an easy walk to the beach and surfclub. Perfectly cleaned before arrival, beds all made up and towels provided. I would definitely recommend and we will stay here again. »

« Beautifully designed property with a tranquil view. Gorgeous native birds would visit the balcony every morning and the facilities were like new. The nearby beaches were stunning and there are many surrounding cafes and restaurants. Everything was lovely and I would definitely like to return here again. It was the perfect relaxing getaway! »

Everything you need for a beachside getaway, with a pool (if the 100m walk to the beach is too arduous), fully equipped kitchen, plenty of space to enjoy an end of day wine/beer/soft drink. « My family plus dog stayed for a long weekend and loved the house. It is really well setup and comfortable with lots of lounging spaces available to chase the sun throughout the day. The place was spotlessly clean- the beds were super comfortable and our dog loved the off leash beach just down the hill and the fully fenced yard at the house »

« The place was clean and tidy, spacious, no carpet, dog friendly. The backyard, while mostly paved courtyard, did have a substantial garden space around the courtyard. Yard was secure and safe for my dog. House has a bath, which was good for my young kids. We didn't do any cooking, plenty of options to get food delivered. Beach was literally a 5min walk down the road. Great cafe at the beach (note only open 7am-2pm). Very happy with the stay. The property manager was quick with replies to any...
