Very close to Universal, with a heated pool and many beds for our two groups was the reasons why we stayed here and it fulfilled all of those things. Hosts are very responsive and helpful with our questions. Would totally rent from them again.

Family Universal Studios trip

The property is beautiful and exactly as pictured. Because there are outdoor rooms, there were some bugs in the rooms, but no spiders, just like little bugs. We immediately enjoyed some ping pong and mini golf, my 3 year old niece had so much fun before we even got to the park. The house is so close to Universal Studios, it is a perfect place to stay when going there. Our only trouble this stay was one of the rooms had a keypad lock that we couldn't get open. Thankfully the host was so kind and diligent and responded to my messages all day long trying their best to help us troubleshoot the problem. A for communication from the host. Thank you for providing a wonderful place to rest and recharge while on vacation.

Close to Universal. Strong odor

We stayed at this house with two separate families, consisting of eight children from ages 2 to 14. Our main goal was to stay near Universal Studios. The house is a great location less than an eight minute drive to the Universal Studios parking lot. It was in a fairly safe location. it is adjacent to a very loud freeway, which made it difficult for sleeping at night due to the amount of noise. The house consists of one main house that has two bedrooms and two separate villas that each have their own bedroom. There are a couple of living room areas, but not very ideal for large groups or parties who would like to hang out all in the same area. The layout is not very open. The biggest con by far was a strong odor that radiated throughout the main house. It smelled of burnt varnish. It made it very difficult to tolerate so much so that the other family in our group contemplated leaving for a hotel. We were slightly disappointed by the hosts response to our concerns over the strong smell. They just told us to turn on a few air filters throughout the house, one of which wasn’t even functional and then they’d take a look at it after checkout. We did that and also lit candles and kept the windows open when possible, but the smell was still present. We paid around $4000+ for a four night stay. We hoped to get a better response than that as the smell was nauseating. Overall, we probably wouldn’t stay at that house again, but it would be a good house for a few smaller groups.

Family vacation at Toluca Lake house !

This property was very comfortable for all our family members there's lots of space for people to have their own private area for sleeping and housing. The ping-pong tables were so much fun this properties deftly set up to have a good time and be real comfortable! location was amazing truly like this property and would stay again if I had large family to entertain!

Cozy little place with excellent proximity to Universal Studios. Great amenities!

Overall the place was excellent for our family, kids had good fun in the pool. Kitchen and other amenities were good. Kids had fun with the ping pong table and the mini golf. Bedrooms were well furnished and good enough to crash for the night! Host was good with communication and was very accomodating. Only issue we had was a leaky bath tub which the host acknowledged and offered to fix it immediately. Other than that overall the stay was excellent! Will visit again if we get a chance.

Well-Equipped, Great Location, lots of Space

This was a perfect house for our family (me, my husband and 2 boys 16 and 17). We loved the hot tub and outdoor lounge area and the house is spacious, clean and lovely. Universal and Warner Brothers are within 10 minutes’ drive, and there’s a Von’s and Starbucks a 5 minute walk away. The host was very responsive and lovely, and we only needed to communicate about check in and out. Just a great central location for anything around LA and a great experience overall.

Spanish Villa in Nice Neighborhood

Stayed here with my daughter and grandkids while visiting Universal Studios. Very good location and beautiful house! Kids loved the swimming pool and adults the nice hot tub! Would stay here again. Property management was very responsive with any inquiries and information.

Good Location

This worked well for us as a location to film an interview. The house was overall clean and well appointed. The outside area (pool and patio area) could have used a bit of sprucing up and cleaning, but we didn't need really use it. One thing that was misleading, or I missed it when booking, is that two of the bedrooms are not in the main house, but rather in two "casitas' on the property. it worked well for us, but if you are renting with small children, something to be aware of. Overall a fine experience.

PROS: The location of this property is great, and we found the inside of the home to be very clean. There was plenty of space for our group of 9 to spread out. The property manager was very responsive and would not hesitate to book a different property with them in the future. The pool/spa heat worked great. CONS: The home was lacking what we'd consider to be basics for a VRBO - for example, pool towels (only one towel per guest was provided), pots and pans (literally only 4 mini fry pans and 1 medium sauce pan!) and wine glasses. There are beds for 10 people though advertised to sleep 14. There are 4 thin (Max 2") floor pads provided only suitable for a young child, so these must be the other "beds" - however, only enough bedding provided for one of these pads. Speaking of bedding, there are loads of pillows but few pillow cases. Many pillows had shams, but I'm guessing those aren't washed between guests. Yuck. None of the beds had top sheets, and it's highly unlikely they're washing all of the comforters (no duvet covers) between guests. Double yuck. We did point these things out to the property manager who said they'd let the cleaning crew know of our concerns...not a house I'd stay in again. Also everything outside was in desperate need of pressure washing. The home reminded us of a frat house turned VRBO, or an abandoned grandpa's house that they're trying to make $$ on. In fact there were several pairs of men's shoes plus a bag of men's clothes in the closet.

Absolutely Lovely

My family needed a place to stay while our home was being renovated and this property was divine. Plenty of space (the kitchen especially!) and very comfortable. The property owners were very good at replying promptly with any concerns (of which there were basically none.) My daughter had a blast playing with the ping pong table and the mini golf set up.

Loved staying here with my family. The two casitas also give enough privacy so we're not in each other's faces all the time and the location is amazing. So close to Universal. Will stay again.
