The host was great and the accommodations were very welcoming and comfortable. One issue is the low door going out to the backyard. I would add a “watch your head” sign above it as I bonked my head pretty bad the first time I went outside.

I want to start off with im only mentioning this because I think it allows others to know that if a problem comes up this host will handle it quickly. We areived at our origional booking just after 4pm after a long day on the road and at Universal Studios. When we entered the home it had not been serviced by house keeping. I contacted the host who responded within a few minutes and immediatly started working to fix the issue accomadate us. I was a little nervous because we are a large family 2 adults and 7 children, however our host was able to get us moved to another property near by in less than 1 hour which was fantastic! Communication with hoset throught our stay was amazing and when we needed a dust pan and couldnt locate one on the property the host had one sent to us almost immediatly. We will be staying with this host again on our next trip to the area!!

The property was in a great location for us and very suitable. It is an older property and shows its age in different ways-mentioned in other reviews. We had a couple of challenges (door lock critical low battery; missing ironing board, etc), but property mgmnt was promptly responsive. Property was adaquately clean, some dirty dishes in the cupboards upon arrival. One aggravation was the 5k deposit they/VRBO take immediately upon reservation (unless you pay more for insurance). That is excessive in my opinion and they tie up those funds plus the cost of rental until 2 weeks after the rental is over. With those in mind, we would still recommend the property.

Good stay, but maintenance and functionality need attentionThe home matched the listing and the host was very responsive—communication was great and check-out was easy. It technically sleeps 12, but isn’t fully functional for a group that size. We ran into a few maintenance issues: not enough towels, a loose floor vent, slow drains, mold in the shower caulk, and limited kitchen supplies (only 6 dinner plates, 6 mugs, no ice, ran out of dishwasher pods). The living room doesn’t seat 12, and there’s no separate sitting area—if someone doesn’t want to watch TV, their only option is to sit on their bed since there are no chairs in the rooms.Overall a good stay, but the property would benefit from some upkeep and better support for larger groups.

Brooke, our host was very easy to message and she replied with in a very short time. When we arrived the house was hot. T-stats turned up or off because no one was staying there. Makes sense, but there are 6 separate AC units. A breaker was tripped in the panel box and no lights in the kitchen, and the receptacles did not work. Also one of the AC units is in the kitchen area, so it was not working. At this time I was frustrated, we had missed our connecting flight in Dallas & had not had a good travel day. No fault of anyone but me. Brooke got on it, talked to her maintenance people and we were able to get everything on and cooling fairly quickly. I had to flip every breaker in the box because none of them appeared to be tripped. OK we are here and getting settled in. The house and back yard, patio, pool, Gazebo, seating, everything was wonderful. Just my wife, Donna and I stayed because we came to Glendale to visit my brother and sister in law. A great part of this house is that it is only about two or three blocks from where they live. Way bigger than what we needed but it is so lovely. This is truly a great place for large families with children. I think I counted seating for 17 in the pool, patio, and garage (with the Pool Table) area. We played pool. The table is unlevel, but I put a couple of coasters under two legs and it helped somewhat. Still fun. I also counted seating for around 19 or 20 in the living areas of the house.

Unfortunately a very unsettling experience due to pest problems.

When we checked in our first impression was that I could smell rodents. I looked around the property, and whilst on the surface it looked clean and tidy, it is in need of a major deep clean, especially the kitchen floor, light switches skirting boards etc… Just under the sofa, I found a rodent dropping. We messaged the host and she offered to book pest control, and another clean which we accepted. The next day, the clean had taken place, lots of air fresheners fitted. Later that day I found another dropping on the kitchen worktop. We had busy days scheduled at Disney and universal, so we informed the host again but continued our stay. Traps had been set under the house, so I hoped there would be no more issues and that it was old. Other problems we had were the air con really not working, a technician came out twice, but it never stayed working after he left, and got up to 81’f. Also ants in the kitchen, which was another pest man visit. The doors have gaps under them so the house isn’t pest proof. The final straw was coming home after an amazing day at Disney, to a rat on the kitchen worktop. The host did insist they hadn’t had issues before, so hopefully they get on top of it for future guests. I have to say, the pool area is really special, the orange and lemon trees are so pretty and with the heating on the kids loved it. The area felt very safe and peaceful, the host was super responsive, but good customer service couldn't counteract the negatives this time.

Lovely, comfortable, home away from home

My family loved this house and enjoyed our time here immensely! The house had everything our party of 10 needed, including comfortable beds for everyone, 3 full bathrooms, a comfy living room, a washer/dryer, and a pool! We love love loved the pool! The location is perfect! We were close to shopping, Universal Studios, Griffith Observatory, the zoo, etc. It was the perfect base camp for us while we explored the city. 10/10. Also the host was responsive and friendly! We would book this house again in a heartbeat.

Safety and health concerns

We were very hopeful about this property based on photos and other positive reviews however during our visit we experienced a lot of issues. The most concerning being the mold in the home that made my husband and I sick. The hot water heater in the house didn’t work. There were major issues with the HVAC system because some rooms were ice cold while others were super hot. The property is advertised as gated and secured but the gates are broken and remain open allowing access to interior and bedroom doors from outside. We had paid extra for the pool and spa to be heated for our entire trip but it was never heated and we reached out to the host multiple times regarding our issues and the only responses we got were “so sorry you’re having these issues, let me talk to my co host and get a solution” and then we never heard back. The king beds are just two twin beds pushed together and in our opinion the furniture was very uncomfortable. This was all very unfortunate given we had high hopes for this home. The neighborhood is decent and close to universal but there are plenty of homes which a much better price where you can actually use the amenities, be comfortable, have hot water and be safe without being exposed to mold. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

We had a awesome 3 day weekend in this beautiful home , I Had family coming out of town to celebrate my Daughter’s Quincenera in a near by venue , And I was lucky to have found this home it was perfect nice neighborhood, house was very clean and spacious, Greg was very Communicated he made sure everything was good in our stay he made us feel welcome in his home , The home had everything we needed laundry and a nice pool , towels , each room has it’s own bathroom with shower had shampoo and soap available extra blankets and pillows very clean i will definitely come back to this home in the future if available , My Daughter was very happy

Wonderful Neighborhood

Loved the house. There are actually 14 sleeping places in this home. Each split kit bed has a double twin trundle underneath. Plus there are 2 sleeper sofas. There is only 1 TV in the living room... so everyone had to agree on a movie, but we were out most of the time anyway. The laundry is under the house, which was a little inconvient, but we made it work. Host was awesome!! Easy to contact and communication was great!
